50K a year according to SSH?

According to Small Stakes Hold'em a "very good" full time 3-6 online player can be making 50K a year. If someone could just clarify the true expectation. Is it safe to assume a full time player plays 3 screens (3-6 limit) at one time and avg 1.5 BB per hour per table. That would be $9 an hour X 3 games at once or $27 an hour, which is about $54K a year. Is this what SSH is impling? Can you make 1.5 BB per table playing 3 table at one time? I can not see how else one could make 50K a year playing less than 3 tables of 3-6 online. Am I way off base here?

I look forward to the responses!

I wouldn't be too sure. Read this thread:

And then run...

oh no. here we go again.

yes....1.5BB/hr which is around 2.5BB/100 would be possible playing 3 tables.

fwiw, some of us play 4 tables or more.

there was a recent thread in the internet-forum about 'how many tables do you play at one time' and there were several responses in the 4-6 range.
i usually play 4 or 5.

Bob and Devil....thanks for your responses. I just finished reading that marathon link from last week. I also play between 4-6 3-6 games at once, however I am not avg 1.5 BB per hour per table. This tells me I have some work to do on my game. Just wanted to make sure my goals are realistic before I pound my head against the wall.

Well, I am sold on 50K a year if not more, just need to study up. Thanks again.

as i said in the thread. i'm not earning that much either.

That's quite a few BB/100.

I think playing 4 and more tables is a short-cut that might make things more possible for more modestly skilled players. Problem is for me, four is about the maximum, and even at that my play becomes very mechanical.

Oh well, there's plenty of time to improve.

No, you're not way off base! Someone who is selective about
games and multitables (say 4 on PartyPoker/Empire) but makes
a mere 1.1 BB per hour per table could barely make 50K in a
year by playing almost 160 table-hours a week.

For those that play multiple sites and can play even more
tables, it's even easier even if the win rate is a mere 1 BB
per hour per table.

They must annoy a lot of people. And time out a lot.
