So I'm looking at getting a laptop for business trips and travel poker; I could certainly use the advice the forum has to offer.

right now I'm looking at the Dell widescreens, either the top one or the second with upgrades; the Alienware laptops are quite attractive, but out of my price range. What sort of recommendations do you guys have? Performance is the big concern, but I'd gladly go second or third tier to shave 50% off the cost and 20% off top of the line performance. I'd like to do some gaming, some movies, and then writing and poker
