should I call

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Button (t1370)
Hero (t1020)
BB (t3500)
UTG (t1200)
MP (t2210)
CO (t700)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
all fold to Button, Button raises to t1370 (All-In)

The villian here has been very active and just lost a big hand to the current chip leader when he pushed K,9o and was called by A,K. Additionally, he has been a constant min raiser and limper. I figure I am ahead but it is a coin flip. Alternatively, the blinds go up in 2 hands and I will suddenly have only 5xbb.

any thoughts welcome

Ryan

This call is +EV if he's pushing only 33+,A7o+,A4s+,KTs+. Call.

He pushed K9o, he might be steaming, and you need chips. Good call.

Every now and then I read a post and it looks like a list of rationalizations for a move. Like OP hopes we'll agree with him. That way he can just chalk it up to bad luck that he ran into a monster.

No bones about it, though. I definitely woulda called, too. I hope you rivered a 7 against him if I'm right.

Um... I'd fold... not a good place to be looking for a coin flip. In my experience, you still have SOME FE, so there is at least a few more hands to look for a dominating position.

I expect to be against a hand that's a much bigger dog than a coinflip a good % of the time... Ax (x <= 7), 66-, etc.

I like a call here especially after durron's hand range post...I figured it would have to be a wider range than that for the call to be +EV.

I'm not particularly thrilled with the situation. I'm always looking for spots with fold equity, but this situation seems too good to pass up, especially if you suspect he's steaming and may have even worse hands than normal.

I agree. I would call here, this guy sounds like a not very good pushbot.
