Hmm.. i play $22's and I suck at analyzing hands, but I'm trying to improve.

You say he's a TAG, so he probably has a small range here. What do you put him on? Have you shown much aggression earlier in this game?

I think he would reraise with QQ-AA, and maybe call with lower pocket pairs. 88/99-JJ? (just guessing). Other than that he might call with AK, AQs and if he's tight that's probably it. Maybe KQs and AJs too, but that wouldn't be very tight.

If he had AK or 99, you are screwed (and maybe KQs..), if he has any other hand you can probably take the pot right there. I think I would bet here, and fold to a raise.

So, what did you do? And why did you raise to 200 and not 150/175? Do you want the blinds? Now the pot is all big on the flop.

Edit: If he just calls a bet on the flop, he could be slowplaying a set, and then I would be very careful too.

i dont really know what hes cold-calling with, his stats are 13/13/2, but its only over like 20 hands or so, so it really dosent mean much, i have been playing very tight

ill wait for some more replies before i post the results, as far as the 200 raise, i usually switch it up between 150 and 200, i wouldnt really mind taking the blinds uncontested, but you do make a good point that now i have to deal with a big pot on the flop when i miss and it also puts me in a shitty situation if someone were to push preflop, maybe i should start raising less on the 25/50 round?

Your lucky this is a flop you can bet small, 200 or so. Checking is fine too.

If you would've made it 150 preflop the situation would be a lot better, by raising 200 your forcing yourself in an awkward situation.

ugh, i hate raising 1/4 of your stack here. next time raise 125 pf, and check fold that flop.

Really? Can I ask why you check/fold? I think villian is holding AQ, maybe AJ or AK, but probably a pocket pair below JJ. With this kind of flop, with our kind of stack, I'd probably push. There's a 1 in 8 chance that he's caught his set, if he's tight he probably won't call if he hasn't.

Re: 215 - AQ

I'd have raised 150 pf, though 200 is okay I guess, then cont bet on the flop but arguments can be made for shoving on the flop, with the amount you've put in already and the size of the pot.

This is really quite terrible. You should be making a contuation bet 90%+ of the time againest one oppent. The preflop raise was way too big, as betting 125 instead of 200 likly has nearly the same FE, and makes it easier to get away from if raised either preflop or posflop. But not making a cont bet on this realitvly unscary K-x-x flop is costing you A LOT of chips.
