I cant make notes..... (a stupid request)

I'm unable to make notes on players - any attempt to summarise a noteworthy opponents play in a hand turns into a six-page essay.

Can anybody please give me some tips, (abbreviations etc.) on making good shorthand hand summaries?

Thanks,

Ojo_Rojo

Interesting question.
My notes are usually more like little anecdotes about the players, e.g.
'Called pot-size bets on the flop and turn with just a gutshot straight draw (and won(!))'.

the (and won!) part is pretty much a waste of space and time though.

To OP: I have the same problem. I've improved a bit lately though. "min-raise turn = nuts" "check-minraise flop = TPGK on dry board" "instacheck to pfr = going to check raise"

Nothing wrong with big notes...just be sure to read the information when you get spare times and summarise up top. The idea is to look it up quickly, but extra information is great too for writing summaries or a facing big decision.

You can see in the example below I cut and pasted I've got heaps of notes, with TELEGRAPHER up top basically summarising them.

Example:

p AA(6), KK(5 rr 15)
c AKs(4)
l A4o(b), KQo(m)
TELEGRAPHER, highly aggressive with nut hands
huge (4x) reraised flopped straight, then min reraised (24->35). Pushed turned when checked to. p AA then highly aggressive post flop, pushed turn. check raised flopped set, highly aggressive on turn, checked non scare river. Weak with top pair, check called after flop pot on scare board. moderately aggressive with top two pair. Bet moderately (1/2pot) with turned TPTK with several callers and flush draw out there.>

Detailed notes have helped at times, they're worth it.
