i fold the turn when MP3 raises after coldcalling preflop and two on the flop. he has a ten. i love folding overpairs.

You can throw this away on the turn or the river, your choice.

MP3 is almost always going to show a ten giving his patented micro limit wait until the turn to bet my set play

But MP2 is probably going to take it down with his AK

just me..but I call cap the turn..then fold the river and I'm pissed the whole time i'm playing this hand

What really sucks is that I'm pretty sure I don't win this hand and I still call

I think MP2 has a ten, maybe even King-Ten. This is a sucky spot to be in, but I do not think I could lay down AA here because it's always just "one more bet" to call each time.

Thats what I thought but directly after the hand when I reviewed I thought, what was I doing? Even if it's just one more bet, it's like throwing it down the lake since I can't see myself ever winning this hand. I should have folded the turn. Bleh.

Anyway, I did win this hand. They showed JJ and QJ.... WTF?

i think in game i play it the same; its just not a situation that occurs often so im not laying down an overpair with all the weird betting.

capping the turn seems like absolute spew....

Hmmm...if not there, then definitely when MP2 caps preflop, raise/calls the flop and then calls/3-bets the turn. He's either got KK or he shouldn't be allow to use a computer (or scissors) unsupervised.

I know you're not being results-oriented here, but I really would've just avoided posting these results. Everyone is now going to justify calling this down when basic hand reading would lead you to assume that one if not both players had you beat on the turn. You really ended up with the best possible hand combination for both players and that they decided to play their hands backwards. I think you still lost 4BB in this hand.

By the way, make a couple notes on these guys.

Funny post, I think yo played it right up until the river. On the turn there are so many possible hands that you are ahead of such as QQ, AKs, possibly AK or AQs and you have to call. On the river I think you can save some chips by folding at the very end, but ok, getting 21:1 and 25:1 I'd probably call asw

:grunch: Yea it looks like you got caught behind someone with a K or even KK. You basically got trapped MP2 and MP3 and ended up putting in way too many bets.

I think you could have folded the first river bet when the second K showed up. You may even find a fold on the turn after MP3 raises or after MP2 limp/raises since their stats show that they are normally very passive.

Wow. I'm with shant and hope that now ppl know the results they won't try to argue calling it down. I still think you should have folded on the turn after MP3 raised. Craziness. Definitely note and buddy list those guys.

I'm usually folding to the first river bet, especially because MP2 is probably trying another checkraise, as he did on the turn.

folding to MP3's bet on the turn is the crapiest suggestion i've ever heard. i'm more apt to 3-bet and be shown a lone K or AK than a Ten.
