I can\'t wait for the stars vip program
 

I'm playing some MTTs tonight on stars to kill some time, and I clicked on the VIP button and I got really excited!!! I decided I'm going to earn a million bazillion trillion points and go to every wpt ept and wsop event even though I'm underage and win a million dollars.

If you play a lot of hands then they will send you to the WSOP, or the WPT, or the EPT, or maybe give you some cash, or maybe some cool new stuff from the FPP store!!!

yes, but it might wind up bringing in a lot of multi-tabling 2+2 TAG's to the ring-games which certainly won't help the quality.
Hopefully the games will still be worth playing...and perhaps the incentives will even encourage the fish to play there more.

I'm probably with Augie in that I can certainly see myself playing a million-bazillion hands to win packages to the WSOP, EPT, PCA, etc.
But if they are only giving you about 4 or 5 cents in value per raked-hand then it's not such a hot deal.
I'm hoping for better than that so that I can consider it.


But imo there is a very real risk that the games will be borderline ruined by high-volume 2+2'ers and that I will have to give it up fairly quickly and move on to sites with looser games.



I believe that it will officially be started by/before the New Year (a hunch, mostly).
Jan 1 is a good start-date to begin the incentive to acquire 9-zillion points to win some sort of super-duper prize.

I can't imagine any sort of "amazing" VIP program that would move me from Party to Stars...

While Party's VIP program has been a giant bust, I am not playing for PartyPoints, I am playing for cash. And as far as I have seen PartyPoker still has the softest and most plentiful games at the 5/10 level.

meh, whatever. most suspected 2+2ers i encounter fold the turn against me far too often. i never have anything, folks. seriously. the best hand i could have is like a 5 high flush draw.

so bring on the 2+2 tags.

I am clearing on a bonus on a non-party non-stars site, playing 5/10 full ring (rather than SH) for the first time in forever. The VPIP avgs hover around 17-20 and I'll tell you something - poker has never, ever been easier for me in my entire life. not talking about bb/100 but actual decision making etc..

bring on the weak tight "TAGs"

Come on guys. Who needs packages? Your gonna be VIP!!!! VERY IMPORTANT!!! and a sense of belonging! It's kinda like a club, except you won't get made fun of, and chicks will DIG you cuz your not just important, but VERY important. yay for stars!

tournament on stars are ok, but for ringgames i prefer around 10 other sites. Stars is 100% not the site for my kind of playing.

this is a good point. Stars has some of the best low/mid-level cash lhe, nlhe, plo games. The games could change drastically if tons of tags come on over. Btw the worst time to play Stars is when they have any type of bonus promotion--I usually wait a week or so and then return to play there per usual. I put about a third of my total action online at Stars.

I have mixed feelies about any VIP Program becuase as far as I'm concerned Stars games are way underrated.

It's also easily has the best software on the market. The new lobby upgrade makes finding good games much much easier.
