number of the beast: 3/6 full tilt
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
uhh yeah so lets just say i was very uncomfortable in this spot and i wish i wasnt catholic, but thats another story read on danoodles is that hes a donktastic ATM and i love him. maya seems pretty solid. other than that im assuming theyre the typical FT passive stations. the action starts to scare me on the flop, but im trying to make sure i get to a point where theres a sidepot with danoodles in case someone else (this seems likely) has me beat, hows my river bet? should i just be trying to cheaply fill up instead of trying to win a side pot vs a marginal river call? 3/6 FT Seat 1: chelibaby ($330.65) Seat 2: DaNoodles ($1,099.45) Seat 3: Maya6 ($188.40) Seat 4: OJGDD ($269) Seat 5: KaGame ($1,069.50) Seat 6: schnuckl ($292) KaGame posts the small blind of $3 schnuckl posts the big blind of $6 The button is in seat #4 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to KaGame [6s 6d] chelibaby folds DaNoodles raises to $12 Maya6 calls $12 OJGDD calls $12 KaGame calls $9 schnuckl calls $6 *** FLOP *** [6c 7d 8c] KaGame bets $60 schnuckl folds DaNoodles calls $60 Maya6 calls $60 OJGDD calls $60 *** TURN *** [6c 7d 8c] [Ad] KaGame bets $225 DaNoodles calls $225 Maya6 calls $116.40, and is all in OJGDD calls $197, and is all in *** RIVER *** [6c 7d 8c Ad] [Ks] KaGame bets $275 DaNoodles calls $275 |

does this need to be moved to mid stakes, im unclear on the policy [/ QUOTE ] Mid is 1/2-2/4 There are very few 3/6 posts in MSNL, so I think this can be considered HSNL. |
Re: number of the beast: 3/6 full tilt
There are very few 3/6 posts because there are very few 3/6 games.

Re: number of the beast: 3/6 full tilt
You don't need to fill up, you're ahead. How else do you play that hand? I think you played it perfectly.
|
Re: number of the beast: 3/6 full tilt
you really think im ahead with this action?
i pretty much KNEW i needed a side pot to win money on the hand, but it may have been a "feel" type of thing |
Re: number of the beast: 3/6 full tilt
There is absolutely no way you're ahead unless you fill up. You might even not have clean boat outs.
Bet more on the river, if he's calling 275, he'll probably call 400. |
Re: number of the beast: 3/6 full tilt
This looks fine. How on earth are you going to play it any differently with the other players so shortstacked and HeeHaw in there calling down to boot. It looks like there's a decent chance somebody's got you, but I think saying its "impossible" that youre ahead is a bit much, the board is so draw heavy and the pot big enough mulit-way that they could be calling allin w/two pair/pair and draw, str8 and flush draw etc, although most of those hands should raise the flop given stack sizes.

Re: number of the beast: 3/6 full tilt
I dont mind any street becuase you wont CF so may as well bet river. Mis is 200 buyin to 1k buyin so 600nl goes here.

Re: number of the beast: 3/6 full tilt
even with a K9 type hand?
|
Re: number of the beast: 3/6 full tilt
well no, but if hes calling $275 on the river with k9 he's probably out of his mind anyway.
|
Re: number of the beast: 3/6 full tilt
he did have K9c, sfd two overs hmm
vs T9 maya shorteststack, A9 other shortstack |
Re: number of the beast: 3/6 full tilt
It seems like the donk has aces up and he will pay off more on the river. I like a bet of 400 to 500.
|
Re: number of the beast: 3/6 full tilt
yeah i think i got really lucky on the river that he calls this bet, and if he calls this bet he SHOULD call 400-500
definitely only "played it perfectly" per the bizarre scenario and not vs his probable range |
Re: number of the beast: 3/6 full tilt
KAgame blows goats for quarters

Re: number of the beast: 3/6 full tilt
Why not check raise the flop? Your position seems perfect for that (with the preflop raiser on your left and 3 other players in the pot behind him.
Other than that, I would like at least a 1/2 pot bet on the river up to allin. I think you bet too small on the end. |
