because he's one of the top stacks, and probably doesnt have to do anything other than steal from LP to get his seat.

I folded. Is that a bad play?

no its not bad. you dont need to do anything crazy here. If you raise, you have to fold to either of the two stacks that are bigger than you. Pushing is obviously not right either. If you just keep pushing on the small stacks from LP, you will get a seat.

Re: AKo superdatellite final table

Definitely. I'm raising this up, calling a short stack push and folding to a big stack push. No one is going to call you in this situation without something good, for the same reasons that you folded in the real hand. Why not take the blinds? You may need them.

Looks like about 350,000 chips at the table. You're not going to be able to fold your way to the money. You can raise to 4,500 like you normally would, or start folding and you'll end up being the short stack with 6 players left and praying to the poker gods for an AK to double up with.

I think folding AKo UTG in this situation is fine. Some of the smaller stacks are likely to start pushing all in over the top and they are big enough to cause you some damage. No need to get involved here IMO.

I think fold. Pushing's really ugly, and raising any less than all in risks one of the bigger stacks pushing over the top. You don't really have any need for the blinds; I think you may be able to fold into the blinds, and you'll have plenty of steal opportunities that'll essentially ensure your placing.

I really think it can go either way. Hero is one of the biggest stacks. I think that works two ways he does not wanna give away chips to put himself in danger, but he has enouh chips that I dont think anyone will try to push him around either. I think it is fine either way.

Re: AKo superdatellite final table

There are still 7 stacks over 25,000, so hero is not yet in a comfortable position where he can just cruise to top 5. You need to play carefully, but by no means do you need to crawl in a hole and die. I would raise this as you normally would, exploit the other big stacks who are just sitting back. Chances are no one will clash with you without a monster, and they'll let you know.

i like the fold i think. You can't be sure that you can fold in, but it's certainly possible that he can. So, i think a fold here might be best. Just wait and steal blinds occasionaly to keep yoruself in ok shape.

If this were a supersatellite to a major tournament, I might assume most people would be playing rationally and raise. This is a player point satellite to a $100K freeroll. Some of these people will call or raise based on there hand, regardless of the fact that a big stack raised UTG.

I would play AK in later position or QQ-AA UTG. Mostly, I am in post and fold mode. If enough people don't bust themselves out and I don't win a pot with a big pair or something, I can start stealing from big stacks later on.
