Absolute, wants to be trusted? Hah!

Been trying to withdraw my money from them for a week now.

They keep telling me I need to send them some documentation, and that they meailed exactly what. Only they never did. I have tried to explain this 4 times now, and they still don't get the fact I never recieved ANY mail from them about documentations.

They also claim that they moved the money I want to withdraw back in to my AP account, which they never did.

If they want to be "trusted" as they claim, they need to work a little harder.

Since I'm none US, what the hell is the documentation I need to send? Copy of my passport? Drivers licens? What?

I've never had trouble and I'm non-Us (UK). However, I've always used neteller. Are you using neteller or looking for a cheque?

I also had to verify with AP. Copy of front and back of CC, drivers license and recent utility bill and I also had to sign something saying that I made the deposit with my CC willingly.

Deposited using visa and tried to withdraw using neteller.

I deposited with Visa on Absolute about two years ago, it was the first site I ever played at. I withdrew via Neteller probably 6-9 months later and had no probelms on that withdrawel or any withdrawel thereafter.

This is because in the U.S. you cannot dispute something more then 60 days after the charge. They are making sure you dont cash it out then dispute it. If you deposit using a credit card and cash out from any room expect some sort of hassle, you might bet lucky though and not. Just use Neteller as they do all of the verification.

watch out for absolute. friend had signed up with them awhile ago but never ended up playing, he then was approached by an affiliate and sigedn up for bigchippoker(AP skin). he was told by bigchippoker support that it was okay to play there, even though he had an old account at ABsolute.

His account was suspended 6 months later, BigChipPoker arent responding to any e-mails, and Absolute have told him "you have two accounts at Absolute, we're keeping your $2300, bye".

So ask them what they need and give it to them. What is so hard about that?

This scenario doesnt sound too fishy.

Absolute is as trustworthy a site with top notch customer support. I am sure there is far more to this story than what your buddy is telling you.

This is what I'm worried about. I plan to open another account there with Rakeback. I'm worried that if they see this, they'll just confiscate all my funds and I'll have no recourse......

Re: Absolute, wants to be trusted? Hah!

Is this true for party also, if one plans to a) open a new account, b) deposit through a credit card, c) play for a while, and then d) cashout via check? How much hassle, and also, why would party give you hassle about possibly cashing out and then chargebacking, while you could do the same to neteller? Will neteller give a bunch of hassle?

Absolute has if not the best customer service, at the very least second best behind pokerstars. I've never had a problem in over 2 years and a skrillion cashouts.

Perhaps their emails are getting caught in a spam filter on your end?

He's shared every e-mail with me. The last two were as follows:

"We will reactivate your account. Please just send us [standard documents]"

He sent them.

"Your account is closed. [quote a large part of the T&C, none of which he has broken.] It will not be reopened."

And the account isn't even with Absolute, its with BigChip. He's e-mailed them twice today, no response.

I like and trust Absolute, too.
Not so sure about there CS though.
I was amused and surprised at this recent response to my Rake Structure inquiry:

Dear Dan,

Thank you for your email.

Regarding your concern, rakes are commissions for us. In a casino, player play vs the DEALER. We don't. We let people play vs them. We have no dealer that plays.

Thanks for playing at Absolute Poker! If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know. We're here for you!

Sincerely,

Andres

Hi,
Funny thing, but I can find NO info on your site about the ring game rakes, only ARP info.
So what are the rakes????

Re: Absolute, wants to be trusted? Hah!

Go to web site. Real money > rake schedule.

Solved. Also, when you ask the question "What are the rakes???" you are just asking for someone to misinterpret your question. Asking what the rake structure is would have probably gotten a better response.
