Tech up 4 with 13:40 to go. They look very composed on offense, and Duke's D is uncharacteristically soft. This game is still a few G.G. Redick 3's from being a blowout though.

ME- id agree with you that they are prob the most talented and deep team in the country this year ... my point was that i cant believe that the #1 team this year lacks so much talent compared to years previous. this team couldnt hold a candle to the carolinas, dukes, georgetowns, uconns of the past 20-25 yrs or so. the talent pool is so dried up because of kids jumping to the nba nuch earlier than they used to.

Tech's ball movement is excellent.

Duke hit a few outside shots, which is opening up the inside.

Foul trouble for the Hokies.

Smells like a battle to about 4:00 with Duke slowly pulling away at home.

Foul trouble and a key stretch of questionable calls giving Duke like 7 possessions to 1 looks like it's put the Hokies away. If they play like this all year though, they'll be alright. They are really attacking Duke's D.

MEBenhoe, are you sure about the "deepest team" thing? They look to me like they'll really struggle for offense outside of the Big Two.

to be honest, i have no clue why they're struggling outside the top 2 right now. Melchionni needs to get his shot back. Also, McRoberts and Paulus should shortly step their game up. Pocius is an offensive force if he ever gets some decent PT. Dockery, Boateng, Nelson when he's healthy, and Boykins should all be able to contribute in supporting roles as well.

My room mate's GF was at this game so we were watching it. She actually made it on camera twice. That was the most amazing ending of a game I have ever seen. The tip in, only to lose to a half court toss. Wow
