Uninteruptible power supply. The details would bore you. I think you get the point.

Re: Wrong Forum: UPS

If I had it, tonight would have been the first time.

I just ordered one from Tigerdirect. Costs approximately 1 buyin for me currently.

I'm guessing 1 buyin is less than it costs you not to have it...

You know you play too many SNGs when you think of costs in terms of # of buyins.

ouch, sorry I wasn't by a computer to cover you when you called. Yeah, I've found a backup power supply and two internet connections to be a necessity. I've still gotten some hands dropped switching between internet connections though.

This is so ironic to me...Some years ago I was Director of Corp. Real Estate for a big Calif. Bank....Among my responsibilities was the over-sight of operations at our Data Center (a 260,000 sf bldg)...In that building our UPS system occupied the entire basement; cost a bazillion dollars to operate, test and maintain; and was the source of constant, agonized speculation about whether, or not, it would operate as expected in the case of emergency. The UPS system pricing goes up really quickly after the base models. The small one I got for one PC was only a little more than a hundo with shipping.

I wouldn't be surprised if the pointy haired MBAs (you ? ) at your bank hired some Dogbert consultants and paid an incredible amount for that shat.

My bank (USAA) reimburses me for any ATM fees I occur at the end of every month. 100% rakeback holla
