I dont know if a reasonable player calls the river with a worse hand than QQ.

Me neither, on the other hand there's $1200 in the pot. I'm not sure if I like the river push or not.

Gotta push the river if the player sucks unless you hate money

although i wouldn't be too surprised to see KK here from a good player

We can always check behind.

Even sucky players can fold 99 to a river push.

KK/AA seems likely.

Yes. I am also not crazy about the flop raise.

Given its 1200 in the pot and only 525 left to bet I like to bet this river because he will call with for example a jack.

Call the flop.
Bet the turn.
If you still have company, check behind.

if villain has a jack here, you really dont want to see what his other card is.

hero has villain covered by about $100, so the river push is really only $425 into a $1200 pot. Noone taking 88-1010 or QQ this far is laying it down now. more combinations of these hands than AA KK and JJ, and those seem less likely given the way the hand was played. I push here to.

not that i'm comfortable giving advice to people with 1k+ stacks... these hands really should be in mid/high.

I suspect that if I just call the flop, he's betting the turn.

As opposed to you raising the flop and betting the turn for a bigger amount? Calling flop and turn is not a bad play here, you are either way ahead/way behind IMHO. River will be the tough street, but if he continues to press you should probably consider passing QQ.

Flop raise is ok, when he calls, I check the turn, and *might* call a river bet.
What do you think he raises, calls a reraise, and then leads at the flop with (on a 772 board)?

For the record, its highly unlikely that villain has a 7 or JJ (given that he checked the river). My best guess is KK.

This looks like major spewing. Even the worst hand readers know what you're representing here and not many people put $1000 in to see if they can catch you bluffing. Assuming of course that your table image is somewhat reasonable.
