Someone explain this to me?

No reads on villian. Did I play this right and why is Villian folding to one more bet in that pot??

c/r the flop.

3-bet the turn, it's rare that a player will pump the flop with a set with another person yet to act.

He likes to bluff. I've seen this move before. Basically, he thinks you're FOS. Once you cap the river, you can't fold. Though I've seen people call with like 7 high or something to aviod the embassessment of folding. This is a sucky player to have on your left, BTW.

Re: Someone explain this to me?

yeah you know i didn't notice that it was UTG we were against. yeah after he caps the flop and raises the turn, i expect to see another JT, 22/44, or some random ass two pair. so i would play it this way.

i thought we were against the preflop raiser, in which case i'm 3-betting the turn because there are 18 combos of AA-QQ and only 2 of TT/JJ. sry!

Re: Someone explain this to me?

I've changed my mind. Bet-3bet the river. A lower FH will raise and a counterfeited, overplayed raggy 2-pair will just call. Much of the time you're not getting 3-bet when the opponent has 22/TT, whereas he'll almost always put in a 2nd bet and call the third. An overplayed J2 might 3-bet your c/r, though, so you lose a bet in that case.

In the heat of the moment, i'd probably c/r, too, but I think betting out is probably better.

I like the flop play especially if you occasionally do the bet part with KQs
