Won back to back tournaments in Monte Carlo, the Monte Carlo Millions and an invitational. Apparently, the invitational was broadcast live on Thanksgiving day.

The man is a bit of a beast.

Also think those are merely the tournaments. Considering how much EVERY poker pro praises his skill, i wouldn't be surprised if he clears more than that on a regular basis. There was a story of how T. Brunson picked up a couple million in 3 days, just think what a rush for phil would be like.

The tournament took place in the high-stakes room at the casino where formal attire is required, and the players complied.

Sounds like a home field advantage for Devilfish.

Those are apparently noise cancelling ear phones. Short of Etymotic, most earbuds don't block out sound. Plus ear buds are uncomfortable.

Pretty sure Bose has some noice-cancelling earbuds now. But I agree, earbuds are tres uncomfortable.

Not that over-the-ear are that much better.

Earbuds are also sometimes difficult to see and during a tournament he might be getting pestered by fans. Those head phones scream "leave me the [censored] alone."

even without a throng of fans harrassing me, i like the Bose over-the-ear headphones for the high "don't chat my [censored] ear off just because i'm sitting next to you" factor.

I havae those headphones and theyre really nice and like 1/3 the price of ultimate ears and not as hard to get in and out. plus, you can turn the headphones off and listen to the outside while people think youre listening to music. Earbuds will always block out sound.

Maybe, but it wouldn't be counted otherwise; I believe the WPT Paris tournament is the only one in Europe that does count.
