Looks like he probably would have doubled you up if you potted the flop and turn and pushed the river. What do you think is calling 40 on the flop but folding to 65?

I bought in for $500 for certain game conditions/considerations. I can always add on later if warranted. Like a reverse haircut, I can always add more, but can't take it off.

I've alwasy felt 50BB was a really awkward stack size, but i'm just starting to really play nl ring. What are you reasons for playing with that stack?

Opponent fish was loose raising preflop and playing 50% of his hands. There was a lot of cold calling and some isolation going on. It makes it easier for me to just push my stack in with some lesser hands and get a call from him. If I felt there was a high chance to get a big payoff postflop from this guy, I would just top it off.
