The Proper Etiquette of Addressing a Political Poo-Bah

The Proper Etiquette of Addressing a Poo-Bah

Now that I have achieved the exalted rank of “Pooh-Bah” I believe it is time that some of you lesser posters start demonstrating the courtesy that should be shown to one of my stature. In the past, many of you have been overly familiar to me by calling me “felix”. Since you are probably ignorant of the etiquette that someone of rank deserves I have decided to educate you in the proper way to address me.

Don’ts
Don’t call me JUST “felix”. This would be like calling Prince Charles “Chuck” or the Queen of England “Liz”.

Acceptable
If you are a liberal (aka commie, aka socialist, aka labor party, aka an appeaser to terrorists), the proper way to address me is “Mister Grand Pooh-Bah Felix Nietsche”. MAKE SURE you spell out “Mister”.

If you are a moderate (aka I’m afraid to be known as a liberal or I don’t understand the nuances between conservatives and liberals so I’ll call myself a ‘moderate’), the proper was to address me is “Mr. Grand Pooh-Bah Felix Nietsche”. Since you have the sense to be ashamed as being called a “liberal;” you have the privilege of abbreviating “Mister”.

If you are a “John Cain Republican” then the proper way to address me is “Mr. Grand Pooh-Bah Felix”. Although I have little respect for John Cain, since you are a republican, there is hope you may evolve.

If you are a libertarian who votes libertarian then the proper way to address me is “Grand Pooh-Bah Felix”. Although I admire you for voting your convictions you are wasting your votes. Better to vote for the lesser of two evils (the Republicans) and try to change the GOP from the inside out.

If you are a republican who is selectively conservative on some issues and for government intervention on other issues (aka a typical Tory) please refer to the libertarian section on the proper way to address me.

If you a republican that enjoys listening to Rush Limbaugh, has a strong libertarian streak, believes that “gunboat diplomacy” works, and enjoys smoking killer weed, you may refer to me as “Pooh-Bah Felix”.

Other than addressing me by my proper title, please don’t feel intimidated of me. I’m still the same lovable, intelligent, dashingly handsome, and insightful poster that I was before I became a “Pooh-Bah”. So even though I’m now a Pooh-Bah, please try to act “normal” around me and not act ‘star-struck’ or fawn all over me.

For 2+2 ladies that wish to be a “Pooh-Bah Felix” Groupie, I am taking applications. Please keep in mid that my standards are very high and the MINIMUM qualifications are (1) You must be a Victoria Secrets Model or Playboy Centerfold and (2) Have an advance degree in a REAL FIELD such as a PhD in Rocket Science or a PhD in Quantum Physics. The advance degree requirement in a REAL FIELD will be STRICTLY ENFORCED. Obviously degrees such as a ‘Doctorate of Education’ or a ‘Doctorate in Jurisprudence’ (lawyer) don’t meet the requirement of being a REAL DEGREE. J

That is all……

Start music from the song, “If I were a Rich Man” (from Fiddler on the Roof).
If I were a “Pooh-Bah” <Singing>
Yidda didda didda didda didda didda, dum!
All day long I Yidda didda didda, dum, If I were a Pooh-Bah MAN!..........
LaLaLaLaLa, LaLaLaLaLa, LaLaLaLaLa, LaLaLaLaLa (I can’t remember the rest of the lyrics L).

Mister Grand Pooh-Bah Felix Nietsche,

Congratulations on your Pooh-Bahness, as well as for an obviously well thought-out, and funny, post.

With that quote you prove that you actually fall into the libertarian republican definition because you don't support law & order.

Huh? One can support law and order without supporting specific, unjust laws.

Stop this Hijacking!

STOP this Hijacking!
This post should be about *ME* and my political posting greatness!

Anyway,
I support freedom. I feel ZERO need to obey unjust laws. This is one of the Repub party's achilles heels. They want religious freedom while trying to limit others freedom. The Repubs are still a better choice than the Dems but it is a choice I make while pinching my nose.

In the future, please address me by my proper title.

So it all depends on whose ox/vices are being gored. Moral relativism. No wonder you pinch your nose to vote repub.

Re: Stop this Hijacking!

You have just shown me you do not understand the meaning of moral relativism which the modern left uses to justify their twisted actions and the violent actions of decadent cultures. You may mouth the words but you certainly do not understand them.......

My political principles are based on a solid foundation of beliefs based on years on experimentation and study of history. I doubt you can say the same.

If each person is allowed to decide for themselves which laws are "unjust" and thus not to be followed, how is that not relativistic for the masses?

Morals Should Be INDEPENDENT from Laws That Are Passed

If each person is allowed to decide for themselves which laws are "unjust" and thus not to be followed, how is that not relativistic for the masses?
************************************************** *****
My morals are INDEPENDENT of what laws others pass.
Therefore my morals are solid. If a person bases their morals based upon the laws that others pass then it is THEY and NOT ME who are being morally relativistic. If someone passes a law which conflicts with my moral code, should I then be obligated to violate my own moral code? I do not think so. To believe otherwise then I would have to read the paper everyday so I would know what my morals are for the day based on what laws are passed and overturned. Consider this, the USA was founded by men who broke the laws of Great Britain. Were these men immoral? I think not.

Anyway, moral relativism is a method that excuses immorality from other cultures. E.g. In most cultures murder is considered immoral but many of the left believe the Palestinians are justified to murder unarmed people because the Palestinians are 'oppressed'. E.g. Pedophilia is consider to be immoral by most but in some cultures pedophilia is considered to be OK.

A person's principles and morals should be like the rock of Gibralter. They should not change because a bill becomes law one day then is overturned the next. Nor do I excuse the immorality of others just because they are from a different culture.

Wow.....I'm very impressed with your answer. And very thorough.
Are you are capable of forming a rational thought and communicating it or is an ad hominem "argument" your only option? I suspect it is the latter....

Wow, this forum must be really screwed up if Mat felt the need to pick the third user moderator to grace this forum already.

Congrats, andy. Please keep those crazy libertarians in their place.
