2+2 NL HU Tournament
 

My proposal:

Stakes are $5/$10.

Players play HU on a site with the correct bind structure. Prima seems to fit best.

Players play until one of them has won $3,000 from the other player of his own money. Each person will have to keep track of how much he's put on the table.

Winners advance to the next round, same stakes until there is only one person left.

Should create some good discussion.

It also lets people on the forum call eachother out, although there isnt too much rivarly/fighting here.

I'd like to play Diablo in the first round.

Kane I think the following format would be better :
1st round : players bring 2k and play for that
2st round : winners bring their 4k and play for that
3st round...
...
...
nth round - 2 remaining people play for all the money accumalated. Obviously you win and pay hefty tax for it.

itd be good to pick your partner as someone youd learn from. ive choosen diablo because he seems to have been making some very accurate reads while sweating me that my opposition werent making.

i think ceroz vs bruiser is interesting because bruiser is tight, and ceroz was pretty aggro from what ive seen of him.

FSU vs strassa would be awesome.

if FSU advances, id like to play him in round2, cause he gives me a hard time.

I am not a forum regular, but I would be in this if u guys needed me but I think some changes should be made. The main change is that the bracket should be set up randomly. If u guys want to do heads-up grudge matches just do it, if u want to have a tournament then do random brackets seems much more logical. Beyond that, consider myself a possibility if this thing gets off the ground

in. is prima the only site that has HU 5/10 NL tables? the HU NL touranments at PS suck. after waiting a month with much hassle for prima to cash my money out, don't really want to put money back on there.

this format for deciding who plays each other in the tournament is like in the Quick And The Dead, anyone see that movie? it's good

I don't really think it's fair for me to be in the tournament, because I'd crush everyone so bad.

I also don't understand the structure...are we both gonna be sitting with 300 bb to start or what? Are you going to be allowed to leave the table once you both have 200 bb's and start over with 100 bb, b/c I hate deepstack hu. Some of these matches are going to take forever. I can see a match vs me taking like 10 hours or more unless I'm up vs a total donk (ie james282).

i don't know if anyone else has brought this up already, but you should consider contacting a poker room with your proposal. i know that for hula 1 pokerroom set up private tables for them. in theory and in practice they could make you tables with no rake so that you could play your freezouts for a fixed fee to the room (or possibly for free, who knows). rake's a bitch, besides the other obvious reasons this will never happen.

why dont you think itll ever happen? I'm game for a 3000 (or w/e amount ppl prefer) buyin, along w/ maybe 50$ each to give to some1 to set this up. I think there could be some flaws (i.e. i'd rather it be random matches), but i dont really care and would play just about any structure.

hahaha, luckily I see no reason to play 2+2ers HU for substantial amounts of money or I'd be more motivated to show you that you run hot and play bad.

Diablo, when it gets down to us in the final, do you wanna play or take the whole wad and eat and drink our way through it in Vegas? I figure 20K should cover 6 meals plus hotel, so if we do two-a-days it's just a long weekend.

i think the entry fee is too high for some of the better HU players. Or maybe this is just me, but I can find better EV opportunities to spend 3k, and playing people here is not one of those.
