Team tournaments on Pokerroom
I pretty much only play on Pokerroom. They're adding 10-man 'teams' to their site. It's still in the testing phases, but it looks like they'll have leagues with various tournaments.
Some of the other forum sites have created teams. Pocketfives and Totalbluff were some I know. It could be fun to have a 2+2 team as well and kick their butts. I've gone ahead and created the team (Two plus two). I doubt I'm good enough to make the team myself, and I'll be happy to leave if/when the team fills up. PM me on Pokerroom if you want to join (my name on PR is fiskebent). PR team page |
Re: Team tournaments on Pokerroom
Explain why there are teams.
Do you get points as a collective for finish spots or something? |
Re: Team tournaments on Pokerroom
You're gonna want to change the name from "two plus two." They don't like anyone using their trademarked name.

Re: Team tournaments on Pokerroom
If they don't want a team '2+2' there, I'll just delete it.
I just thought it'd be a nice way to play some games together. |
Re: Team tournaments on Pokerroom
I don't consider myself one of the top10 players on this board.. but I'll play on it.
Rename it..brown trouts..or sup bro. |

Re: Team tournaments on Pokerroom
I would likely play in it as I am going to put some money in there.

Re: Team tournaments on Pokerroom
This looks interesting and decently fun. I would take over as team captain if the OP wanted... and we can get people to maybe throw down like $175-$200 and clean house here in these events, I wouldn't mind wiping the floor and earning some cash.

Re: Team tournaments on Pokerroom
What's your name on PR, Jurollo? I'll see if I can figure out how to sign it over to you.

Re: Team tournaments on Pokerroom
fisk,
I am not asking to make you seem inept, only that I think I could garner some more support due to me being a regular here... so you know.... my sn is jurollo. I wish I would have known about this earlier, I could have tried to get us into the first 'invitational' event with the P5'ers et al. Let me know if you get it figured out, otherwise I will create a new one. ~Justin |
Re: Team tournaments on Pokerroom
I'm 'bout joining the team. Just trying to get around this weird $250 deposit limit that Pokerroom has inexplicably placed on new accounts.
There still room? |
Re: Team tournaments on Pokerroom
Yes there is... I am going to creat a 'brown trouts' team so we aren't using the 2p2 name and we can start to build one, anyone with interest let me know. I don't think the $250 limit will be a problem since tournies are generally only $30 a piece, and people can reload if needed. I will create the group right now.

Re: Team tournaments on Pokerroom
Ok, the team name is 'Brown Trouts'... you will see I am the team owner, and you can apply, I will accept applications and take players from the MTT forum that will help us win.

Re: Team tournaments on Pokerroom
The '2+2' team is no more. I've applied for membership of the trouts...
