I like Stars but....
...I have one problem with the software. I like to talk on Aim while i play poker, but whenever im typing and the action on a table is on me, i automatically start typing in the stars chat area.
I hope i explained that well enough. Is there a way to stop that from happening? Thanks Jason |
Re: I like Stars but....
try posting this in internet or comp tech support. i'm sure there's a widget you can install so that the window of your choice or program of your choice either never loses focus or never steals focus.

Re: I like Stars but....
I use Yahoo Messenger, and even though the Stars window jumps to the front, I can finish typing on yahoo messenger and hit enter, and the message goes.

Yea but Yahoo Messenger sucks... We need AIM help!

Re: I like Stars but....
I have this problem as well. I frequently accidentally type a bunch of random letters in the chat.
My AIM conversations consist almost entirely of dirty jokes, so sometimes the word dildo just accidentally gets thrown out there. |
Re: I like Stars but....
Exactly. Party poker jumps in front of my IMs, but i can still finish typing. Stars doesn't allow it for me. I X-posted it in comp tech help, so hopefully i'll get some info on it. I'll keep you posted.

Re: I like Stars but....
download tweakui
use the setting under general-->focus: prevent applications from stealing focus the window will no longer pop up when it's your turn and steal focus from your aim chat |

I love you.

Re: I like Stars but....
That would slow the action, and I wouldn't like that.

Re: I like Stars but....
This is great for when you are only 3-4 tabling, anything more I would need to change it back because I depend on the pop ups.

Re: I like Stars but....
For whatever reason, it's just not doing the trick for me for stars. I'm on xp, so i'm all confused and stuff. |
