2048 x 1536 any good?

Has anyone tried a CRT with this max resolution? If so, what number of non-overlapping tables does it show? 6?

Is the look playable?

Screenshots are VERY welcome.

Thanks in advance.

It's gonna overlap if you try 6 by about 400 pixels (half a table horizontally).

CRT.. bleh. Get an LCD.

I prefer screen space to desktop space. Have you found an LCD (or HD TV of some sort) that fits more than 4 tables? There's no need for me to upgrade to an LCD unless it fits more than 4 tables.

Why not dual monitors?

That does take up too much space.

Anyway, sorry for the dumb post. I should be able to divide on my own

Apple 30" Cinema Display is 2560 x 1600. Enough for 6 tables.

Only $2500.

But you need a dual link DVI video card that will run you $600 more.

NEC laptop model LaVie spec'ed a QXGA model (which I believe is what your numbers refer to) earlier this year--built-in laptop screen that is. The news came out around april. With a base model at around $1,500. I just contacted a couple specialist Japanese electronics importers however and they tell me qxga is not available. I can't double check them b/c I don't read Japanese. but anyway I take it to mean qxga will be in laptops soon. of course it's not going to get you any more poker tables in normal orientation. but if you could rotate the screen...which you could do with a free standing model.
