Re: PS 500k (Nov. 20)

Small question.

BB with 7h9d, 5 limpers, I check. Table is pretty standard so far. SB is a sat. donk, the rest havn't done anything unusual. Lots of unraised pots.

Flop comes 9h6h5x. I lead and insta-fold to a raise. Standard? Should I save my money here and check/fold? I'm not really into going to war with top pair weak kicker.

11-20-2005 05:57 PM

Re: PS 500k (Nov. 20)

yea pretty standard.. some like to check to see the action first before committing any chips, some like to lead. (in those family pot top pair weak kicker situations) I think either play is fine, and of course after the raise it's an easy fold.

Bigdaddydvo 11-20-2005 05:59 PM

Re: PS 500k (Nov. 20)

Your line is fine. Your lead bet is correct. You were hoping to a)pick up the pot or b)find out if your hand was good. You got b) which is fine.

11-20-2005 05:59 PM

Re: PS 500k (Nov. 20)

Table 107. I see a stack of chips I want intensely.

ClaytonN 11-20-2005 06:01 PM

Re: PS 500k (Nov. 20)

table 208. i've already stacked one bitch.

11-20-2005 06:02 PM

Re: PS 500k (Nov. 20)

253, aces busted by a T3o, limited the damage however.

table is very tight.

Yuv 11-20-2005 06:04 PM

Re: PS 500k (Nov. 20)

I just donked off 1000 chips and folded to a push. Yay me.

Yuv 11-20-2005 06:07 PM

Re: PS 500k (Nov. 20)

Got it back. No worries. The rollercoaster has began.

yvesaint 11-20-2005 06:20 PM

Re: PS 500k (Nov. 20)

grragggh, got up to 4.5k without a single showdown, then QQ UTG runs into short-stacks KK with tons of dead money in the pot

3.3k

edit: of course, just as i say this, i double up when someone decides to bluff me his stack

11-20-2005 06:31 PM

Re: PS 500k (Nov. 20)

2640 at break. I'm busting ass just to stay at this level, as I'm getting no service.

Yuv 11-20-2005 06:31 PM

Re: PS 500k (Nov. 20)

I suck and stuff. 2569 at the break. Up to 5k twice and donked it away (terrible call with AQ against AK).

1k at break - had a nicer stack until JJ ran into the monster that is ace two off

11-20-2005 06:32 PM

Re: PS 500k (Nov. 20)

3385t at break,

spewed off 1500t on whiffed AKs in late position and a two pair vs two pair min betting shennanigans.

2+2 doing well, lol. We're all just trying to get to the red zone, right?

Re: PS 500k (Nov. 20)

Moved to table 164, about 4k at the break, was up
over 5k at one point but decided it would be a
good thing to spew half my stack in order to make
the tourney "more interesting"

How's everyone else doing?

Re: PS 500k (Nov. 20)

Grrrr,

T1060 at the break. Notable losses include a guy making tiny probe bets w/an A high flop that I called down w/JJ, and winning no chips w/AK PF raise and a continuation bet.

ClaytonN 11-20-2005 06:42 PM

Re: PS 500k (Nov. 20)

3k at break

2314th. Lasted until just after break. Took down exactly three pots. Sometimes it's just not fun.

Re: PS 500k (Nov. 20)

build to 3.8k, blinds get to 100/200. EP limper who hasn't done anything special limps, I make it 700 with AKs, folded back to him and he pushes me all in, it's 2.7k more?

I gotta call, so I did and he shows TT, which is pretty typical of scared players going at it above their bankroll, too afraid to play postflop and see an overcard hit oop.

Flop comes T72 tho and unfortunately im gone.

So much for being alive.

55 < A2, then AK < QQ and JJ, and I'm out in 1474.

Rough tourney, no cards to speak of.
