How much do you all pay for your house - mortgage, utilities, etc

For me my mortgage is 320, utilities average 220, and property taxes are about 220 as well so about 760 a month. I have been here over 3 years and have only had to fix my dishwasher so nothing on maintenance really.........

Mortgage of $320 eh? I'd venture to guess that you don't live in California.

Well it was 700ish a few months back but it came for renewal and I dumped all my savings against it as I hate any kind of debt. You can buy a very nice house up here for 200,000 Canadian

Or in the NY area...

But just to give you some comparison's. I rent it's $2115 a month. Utils are around $350. I live in a NYC suburb (jersey shore) - Train ticket is $280 a month on top of that..

Mortgage $900
Utilities (water, sewer, electric) $500
Insurance - $2k per year
Taxes - $8k per year

I do my own yard work or that would add another $150 a month.

Holy God. I'd be broke in a heartbeat.

Monthly mortgage 1400 sq. ft. home - $900
Water - $40 on average
Electricity & gas - $100 or so, rates fluctuate a lot

Re: How much do you all pay for your house - mortgage, utilities, etc

How about a rough description of what you guys are getting for that payment?

1st mtge - $800
2nd mtge - $250 (HELOC fully utilized)
HOA (bleh) - $210
Utilities - $50
Taxes - $225 (about $2,700 per year)
Insurance - included in HOA (fire and earthquake, dont have personal property coverage)

So about $1,500/mo. This is for a 1 bedroom, 800 square foot condo. California rules.

The maintenance people refer to is not like upkeep on stuff breaking but actual costs assosciated to living in a development such as landscaping, garbage removal, paving, etc.

Having a new house or an old house wouldnt ever really have an impact on if you do or dont pay maintenance.

I rent a three bedroom house about 1/4 of a mile from where I work which is actually owned by my employer. Not a huge house but enough for our needs with a nice big fenced yard and a garage.

Rent $450/month
Utilities: Included
Water: Included
Renters Insurance: not much a couple of bucks a month I think.
Taxes: None

Of course the trade off is I live way in the middle of nowhere. But I LIKE that part!

Sticky Wicket's and my new house costs us roughly $1800 a month plus $1100 in property tax a year. Gas, water, etc....maybe $200 a month.

I had to buy a new air conditioning/heating unit almost immediately - $6,000. All but $750 was covered by our home warranty.

We live in Vegas.

mortgage and insurance ~ 300 a month.
taxes ~ 850/yr
water and sewer ~ 20
Electric ~ 50 (more in AC weather)
Wood Stove ~ priceless! without it my gas bill would get up above $200 in the winter.

Gotta love the midwest, everything is dirt cheap.
