Any way to avoid puking after drinking lots of alcohol?
 

yeah i'm joining a frat and tonight i'm pretty sure they are making us drink till we puke. I really don't mind puking but was wondering if theres a tried and true meathod to avoid it, like eating tons of bread before hand or something. thanks.

eating bread products slows the body's absorbtion of alcohol, but chances are you will be drinking faster than your body can handle it.

Just get it over with quick

You will feel less [censored] in the AM as well if you puke the night before.

I find that not being a little bitch helps!

Eating before hand should help, if it doesn't, it will at least make the end result more spectacular.

Agreed. Make sure you puke early because alcohol poisoning is a real bitch. Here's your plan: lots of foamy beer, no hard [censored]. The foamy the better as this should fill your stomach with gas and have you puking in no time. Then, you can relax and enjoy yourself without worrying about waking up in a hospital.

my guess is it will be a 750 ml of maddog 20/20 which is i think 11% or so. at a lot of events, the brothers chugg these bottles. some puke, some don't

You should eat before you start drinking.

When you drink on an empty stomach the alcohol will flow more easily into your intestines. From there it enters the bloodstream easily and you will get drunk fast.

Plus you really would like to have something in your stomach when vomit time comes.

I really don't mind puking when I'm really drunk. Kind of a blessing in disguise. It's puking the next day that gets me.

Just puke. They probably won't let you stop drinking until you do anyway. I'd try to eat some bread before hand, maybe some mashed potatoes, generally stuff that's not too bad on the way up.

Nah, I am with the "if they are going to make you puke, make it spectacular crowd..." I have always hated frat idiots (have no problem with normal frat members, just the morons that pull this crap) and if they want to make you drink 'til you puke... Let em... Here is my advice for what to eat... Crab cakes, oysters (if you are coastal), some broccoli, and if you still have room somewhere, toss a steak in. That should get you the result you are looking for. Then all you need do is aim...

Of course, you know you're going to puke. It's just a matter of time. So I think Dids is onto something here. If you're gonna go, go with gusto. Eat as much as you can so the big blowup will be the story of the night. I'm thinking Chinese all you can eat buffet....maybe a big pizza or burrito. Good luck.

I hope its one of those pussy fraternities (FYI, no one in one calls it a "frat" its always "fraternity") cuz if you are posting on a message board about drinking advice, so you can be a lemming, you arent one of the "cool" kids

Go out make some real friends and learn to thrive in a social setting just by being you. THEN when youve mastered that, join a fraternity if you want the social fun and what not those places provide.

1)Don't join a frat. Frats are gay, make you drink til you puke, and none of those guys would hesitate to f'your gf.

I used to drink several of these a night in high school, I wouldn't be too worried about chugging one.

You do realize that kids die every single year from these stupid initiations. I have a son that will be going to college in a few years and I sincerely hope that we he can make his own friends and won't have to go through this mess.

anyway, it wasn't as bad as i expected. we went from room to room in groups of four playing drinking games. i handled my beer like a champ and was one of the only ones not puking that night. now i'm having fun being drunk at work posting with you fine gentlemen.
