request for VIP status response
I emailed them a couple days ago asking for VIP status, and got the form letter saying they'd send me an offer in a couple days. This is what I got back today:
"After reviewing your account we must regretfully inform you that we can not extend you on offer for VIP status at this time. To qualify for VIP status, a player must demonstrate the ability to sustain high volume of play for an extended period of time. As you do not have a history of depositing money into your account on a regular basis, we expect you to exhaust your funds sometime in early December. Thank you for your consideration, and good luck at the tables." Is this rude or what????? Makes me want to quit making sidebets after reading this. |
Re: request for VIP status response

Re: request for VIP status response
Maybe they don't care about winning so much as just volume.
|
Re: request for VIP status response
Right, but a high volume player doesn't necessarily have to deposit a lot.

Re: request for VIP status response
To the OP: What's your average MGR?
What level SNGs are you playing at? Just curious... |
Re: request for VIP status response
I play $22s. What does MGR mean? It's not defined in the FAQ.
|
Re: request for VIP status response
Monthly Generated Rake.
|
Re: request for VIP status response
I haven't logged a full month in yet...
|
Re: request for VIP status response
Personally, I'd recommend playing at least another month or so and prove to Party Poker that you're a consistent and valued customer. Email them again in a month's time.
As far as they can tell, you may just be a one-time player with them, and there's no point extending a deal for the kind of player that might not come back if they bust. |
Re: request for VIP status response
And by the way... my OP was a joke. I'm starting to think that not everybody got it...

guess not. [/ QUOTE ] Sorry Hornacek! I was trying to be funny. I did actually send them an email and got the form letter back but haven't gotten an offer yet. I've generated about $700 in rake so far this month, but this is my first high volume month. The account has been open for about 6 months with a sporadic rake of $50-300. This is what I sent them: [ QUOTE ] So far this month I've generated over $600 in rake for Party Poker by playing the SnGs. I plan on generating over $1000 in rake for November, of which I would like 10% rakeback. I like PP's interface as well as the table availability. However, I'm realizing that over $1k of my bankroll will be going to rake this month. Other poker sites offer rakeback, and I'm looking into them. I'm comfortable at Party Poker and do not want to switch, but realizing that I can bump up my ROI by at least 1% by just switching to another site is something I can not ignore. If PP were willing to offer me 10% for generating over $1000 in rake in November, I wouldn't have any reason at all to play at any other sites. [/ QUOTE ] I'll let you know if I get any further response. |
Re: request for VIP status response
I got an offer but it's not based on rake but on points. It's something like 125$ for 3500 pts and 275$ for 7000 points. (which should clear in less than 100 SnGs since I apparently get 85 points for a 55s SnG. Kinda sad that I don't get anything for playing more than 83 SnGs.
