Why do Europeans play on british pound tables?

I mean, just a little common sense here people. When there are a couple of $10-20 tables open and you donkeys are playing 5-10 lb's, I really have to wonder. If I were the Crypto's I would install some Kuwaiti dinar tables just to see how high far these guys would go.

you ARE aware that the US dollar doesn't rule the world, right?

Re: Why do Europeans play on british pound tables?

If you play higher limits on Cryptos you should be playing in $US. The max rake is $3 as opposed to 3 Euros or Pounds which is more money. I have not played there is a while so maybe it changed but this was what I figured out quickly. When the Pound was 2-1 it was like playing in a US$6 max rake game.

If the max rake were 3 pesos on the 1k/2k peso tables, would you be playing $100/200 with a $3 max rake?

Re: Why do Europeans play on british pound tables?

I've always wondered the opposite.. why would Europeans, especially British, play on sites that use the US Dollar? If I were from England I would only play where I could use the pound because you're getting the best return.

Now I won't play there as an American because it's nearly twice as expensive..

The Us dollar does come close to ruling the world. The point is pretty much the rest of Europe uses the Euro. The pound makes no sense.

but are tables where the players too dumb to figure out that they are paying almost double the rake worth paying that extra rake for in order to play those aforementioned dumb players?

and was it a chicken or an egg that came first?

It was the egg. The first egg's mother was a proto-chicken, read Darwin...

The pound makes a lot of sense and thank god we didnt go into the euro, which we would have been locked into at a quite high exchange rate on a weak currency that is affected by stupid french riots amonst other things. The EU may think we are close to a United States of Europe but personally and thankfully we are way off that.

The US dollar makes no sense, GWB spent my bankroll in Iraq, we wipe our arses on dollars over here, cheaper than loo roll, bit shiny though.

I have found a reasonable correlation between rake and game softness. It's not that the poor players seek out the high rake but that nits will avoid it.

Ironically, making every denominaton of your currency the same size and colour (and thus virtually identical in appearance at first glance) makes no sense to me.

I ponder that everyday. Nice for rakeback. Ever do the math of what the real cost is if you recieve 32% rakeback?

By the time we had a country ready for money, most of our population was able to read, so we didn't need the colors to sort things out.

60% to the flop is my rough barrier for entering the pound games. It's fun to see the rakeback come in at the end of the month, but your numbers look like hell on pokertracker with nearly twice the rake cut out. Oh, and if we are paying $5-$6 in rake, I'm not stealing blinds.

1) Who is getting 32% on a Crypto? Just curious.
2) Since we've gone over the math before on non contributed rakeback (what crypto appears to be) would there be some profit potential for being a tight player on a loose pound table with RB?

if the £1-£2 games are as soft as the $1-$2 then I'm playing the £1-£2 and sod any increased rake...but it does seem odd that the cap is so different
