\"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/15) (300 min/500 max NL)
 

Tonight's show will be the usual $300/500 NL game with 5/5 blinds. Last night's show was a 6/12 limit affair that was a typical low-limit donkfest. It eventually featured a couple 2+2 players, occasional 2+2 poster Surfinillini, and SSHE forum poster Shant. For those that care to watch some NL, www.liveatthebike.com starts at 6pm PT and runs thru 9pm as Bart Hanson and Shirley Rosario follow the action. Also, tomorrow night should be another 50/100 NL game for those that prefer higher-stakes action.

Gonna be a light night with the final table on. I think a ratings stunt would be a good idea (looks at Shirley).

It'll be light until 10 (since there's a repeat of the last hour then) as it has been for a while. Maybe a few of the SSHE folks will drop in.

Mike seems to have a lot of birthdays. Regarding the "f-bomb" rule, I've got a feeling they're going to revamp the rule to include more uses of vulgarites, like the s-word, c-word, etc.

I seriously doubt she feels threatened by us 2+2 math weenies.

There were winning players before David Sklansky, and there can be winning players without having read him.

I have to go back into the thread and read most of Mason's responses - I don't think he has given the final answer - but Mason just said minutes ago that he is trying to show that AQs has a profitable strategy. I agree it has to be player dependant and position dependant. They said the new book on no limit will be very heavy on the math.

No doubt that AQs can be played profitably. However when I think about my goal in playing no-limit poker, doubling my stack, I feel that JJ has a greater potential for this than does AQs. It is quite hard to stack someone with AQs. Am I really doubling up when I make a flush? Won't any aces on the board scare off the action I'd get? Also if I am dominated or up against a junk ace two pair, I very well might *get* stacked. I feel that I can make more on my winning hands with JJ and lose less because I can get away from them.

Seat 9 had OESD (with top pair), Seat 6 had pocket 9s. Seat 9 was better hand, flipped his cards after the turn. Seat 6 then bluffs all-in, Seat 9 folds. Seat 6 then shows, everyone laughs!
