Re: Pujols\' Career Statistics
451-500
1200-1400 2400-2700 good career, I think his body will break down around the same timr Griffey's did. |

good career, I think his body will break down around the same timr Griffey's did. [/ QUOTE ] I doubt it. From what I've read, Pujols takes care of his body very well. He plays 1B which doesn't put nearly the stress on the body that CF does. |

But let's remember, to make a great career you have to stay healthy, whether your playing outfield, 1B or DH you are always prone to injury. I think at 25 years old(right?), saying that he could possibly hit 500 HR's is a giving him a lot of credit, give him about 5+ years before you can even wonder what his stats might be. But I think 500+ HR and 2300+ hits right now are my estimates |

Re: Pujols\' Career Statistics
This is a bit early but I think if Pujols can stay healthy and does not screw everything up when all is said and done he could be one of the best 5 baseball players ever.

The beginning of his career reminds me a lot of Frank Thomas.

[/ QUOTE ] and juco here. dominicans lie about there age, most of the time their real age is discovered later and its always 2-4 years younger than what they really are. its well known in the minor leagues and joked about, its locker room humor...i was basically just joking. |
Re: Pujols\' Career Statistics
I wasn't sure, I figured you were smarter than that but there're a lot of people that doubt his real age.

Re: Pujols\' Career Statistics
Guys, check out Pujols at bats totals for his first five years. Or, I'll give them to you.....
590-590-591-592-591 I'm into stats a little bit, and have never noticed anything like this. What does everyone think? Rob |

[ QUOTE ] good career, I think his body will break down around the same timr Griffey's did. [/ QUOTE ] Why do you think this? [/ QUOTE ]just a guess, not particularly based on anything. It is important to remember that guys like Bonds/Clemens are anomally's (sp?), and with the supposed end of the steroid era, look to see players careers to take a more normal pattern. |

Re: Pujols\' Career Statistics
Well, yeah, my point is that when somebody has a weird season they're all WHOAMG STEROIDS~!
Just pointing out how it can be weird. |
Re: Pujols\' Career Statistics
I really don't see much of a difference between putting those number up from ages 20-25 or 22-27. It's just as impressive either way.

Not too shabby for a 34 year old. |
