Oh boy.

I have had a bad 2 days with the Empire $100 bonus.

Lost $160 leaving me down $60 overall.

$113 lost on pocket kings! No slow-playing or anything like that. Just coming up 3 times against AA and 3 times getting badly sucked out = stacked 6 times. Add the times I managed to fold them and KK was NOT a good hand for me this time round.

Maybe next time I will auto-fold them.

Maybe.

But as a regular poster I allow myself to post a bad-beat once in a while.

Besides, loses to AA can't be described as bad beats.

Maybe I should post all the KK hands and see who can identify which ones I lost to AA and which ones to suckouts.

I'm glad someone made this thread. I'm down about $200 on the bonus so far, which is insane for me. This will be the first time I've lost more than the total amount of a bonus. I almost always come out with the bonus + some profit.

i too was getting raped at Empire. But did end with a flurry. From 185 down. I got it back to only losing 20 bucks when the bonus was added.

i've played over a million hands at the party network. and what is happening is more than just random varience. especialy if you are know to be a bonus whore to them. i will never convince u sceptics. they do have the power to manipulate a certain number of hands. they are in "servival" mode now with the divorce from party.

That's not true. There have been many in depth discussions on the sites use of the DOOM SWITCH here. Everyone knows it exists. Early recognition is essential for a winning game. I too am glad someone started this thread. I deposited $250 thinking I could 4 table some 1-2 6 max and make some $$. Instead, I went down 100BB had to deposite more and ended up clearing it at 7 card stud, where I still lost. Total down 65 BB (inclues the bonus).

down 48bb at 2/4 and down 18bb at 1/2.....and this is me only quarter way through clearing the bonus [img]/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]

a little annoying when the majority was lost to a guy VPIP70% & PFR50% who just happened to hit his hands when i have my hands [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

I must regretfully report that I had a decent turnaround there today. Still down $50 even after the bonus, but I didn't feel quite so... cursed... this time.

I didn't play the Empire bonus this time, but I did clear the EB one last month, after the split.

I got this after a recent cashout, of course I phoned Party support, they told me I need to delete the temporary internet files and amend the DOOM_SWITCH* entry in my registry file, then do a cold boot, that solved the problem and i was soon back to pissing away the money I won in SNGs, in NL cash games.

Don't let the bastards win.

Just finished the Empire bonus. Best NL25 table tonight, 25/6. Worst, 14/6. Lost $99.40, so I ended up with a big 60 cents profit net of bonus. My mistake was to throw in a few SNG's "for fun". The $11 SNG's on the skins right now look like the 33's or 55's on Party.

Wow I've had the exact opposite experience. Made my first Empire deposit since d-day last month, played exactly 1000 raked hands of 1/2 NL (probably 1200+ hands total). Up $228 + the $100 bonus.

Most of my losing hands were ill-timed bluffs, and I found it extremely easy to steal blinds.

I was spooked after all the talk on this board at how tough the games have become. They're not tougher, they're just tighter ... adjust.

I hadn't posted on this thread because of the title but since a few more have mentioned it I will too...

I cleared the bonus fairly easily over Sat & Sun playing 25/PL netting $6 plus the $100 bonus.

There are quite a few loose terrible players there that will stay in even if you raise with AA against their K4os and they will stay in against a pot bet to make 2 pair or runner runner flush or something. I just cuss to myself, write a note on them and wait patiently until I can snag em later....
