Kings UTG to a reraise

9 handed UTG with KK, open pot. Next to act reraises pot, he has 10k never seen him before. Flop is Qh 5h 9s, I check he checks. Turn is Jh, hm interesting. I bet $2250 into $2500 pot not sure what to do if he raises...

He calls, what do you put him on now? River is 5c, pot is 7k he has about 6k left. ACtion?

Against most opponents I would check-call here. I think he has red TT or AhKx a lot here.

Chicken call.

Re: Kings UTG to a reraise

did you have Kh?

why are you betting the turn if you have no idea what you are going to do if he raises and not know what to do if he calls and river bricks?

bad spot you are in. are you hoping to just showdown here, or hoping to possibly move him off AA? because that is a bad board for AA against someone that may be perceived as weak-tight that is putting money in the pot oop.

IMO, that would be a bad plan.

i agree.

i think if bruiser is unwilling to check-call a big river bet by him, and feels his hand is good a decent % of the time, then he could possibly freeze villain up if he is against AA by betting 2500 here.

he seemed pretty liberal with his reraises. I don't think you can give him credit for a monster here preflop. I think I counted 5 or 6 times in 30 minutes that he reraised pre.

Explain to the MTT donkey: why don't we bet the flop?

Re: Kings UTG to a reraise

In that game almost everyone would call with AA, as Diablo says bad plan to move him off that. In the game time was running out and I went all in. I think that has to be a bad play, he can only call me with something like AQ, better to check to him and it will probably be checked behind, but there isn't much value to gain from betting out either. Not such a fun street to play but can't do anything about it.

Yeah at the time I didn't like that play. I forget with UB, if you check, and he checks, and you see his cards then the information alone is probably worth the check since he won't call any bet you make without beating you probably and won't bet any hand that you beat probably....

Really? I don't last night it seemed like he would reraise pre but then play pretty passive postflop, frequent rivers were going check check...

By "he" I meant an unknown player. Bruiser said he had just sat down and had no reads, not what you say here.
