Eurobet to join Pokeroom Network!

Hi Maulik,

Starting around November 21st, Eurobet will join ONGAME, one of the top 3
poker networks worldwide! Eurobet will soon share the same players and
tables as PokerRoom.com, BetOnBet, Hollywood Poker, HoldemPoker.com, and
many more! And everyone will get a first deposit bonus of 100% up to
$600! If you already have an account on Eurobet, your funds will auto-
matically be moved from poker to sports on or around November 21, 2005.
Then, when you 'Move Money' from Sports to Poker, you will get your huge
deposit bonus! Your account number, username, and password will remain
the same -- and your screen name will also remain unless it is already
taken on the network. In that case, you would simply be prompted to
choose a new screen name.

So get ready for A LOT more action on Eurobet! At peak hours, there will
be an estimated 20,000 players on this network! The new poker room will
offer you a range of exciting features:

* More player liquidity and Many more players to challenge on all
levels of play
* Access to all cross-community tournaments including daily $20,000, and
weekly $50,000 guaranteed tourneys
* Higher table limits up to $500/$1,000
* Private tournaments for RakeBreak clients
* A massive $600 first deposit bonus
* More variety of poker -- 5-card draw (strip-deck coming soon)
* Both download and non-download versions available
* Mac and Linux compatible
* Player points to be used for tournament entry and many specials
* Ability to fully customise the client for look and feel including seeting
the screen to full size
* Fast Payouts, player tracking, and customer service 24/7

On Monday or Tuesday of next week, Eurobet will send existing players
an email with specific details. We will also post updates in the
member area of our site.

I think what they are saying is that they are not allowing rakeback ... could be wrong so dont flame but that is what I am reading into this.

Yep this really looks strange to me. Why would they be advertising some stupid private tourney if the other stuff was allowed? I think lots of eurobet affiliates and players are assuming things are not gonna change.. might be a big assumption.

Damn, I have a great deal with BetonBet! This may be big for me. I'm rolling 35% from back in the day.

Noice.

I'm pretty sure this will akin to royal holdem, where it will be only 20 cards (T-A) or something of that variety.

Re: Eurobet to join Pokeroom Network!

I read that the pokerroom network had the stiffest rake of all the internet pokersites. Is this true? This might not be a good thing, even with the unmentionable.

Thoughts/opinions?

Yes, their rake schedule is pretty bad for some games. If I recall correctly, I think 2/4 and 1/2(?) have it the worst.

Just think of all the extra rakeback it'll get you! WE'LL BE RICH!

Wait no, daddy didn't think that through.

I think this affiliate believes he is still in the Eurobet rakeback business.

This has got to be good news. I can't wait to go back to euro again and stick it to party. With a good marketing plan they may come close to competing with party. These are definately good times to be a poker player.

Re: Eurobet to join Pokeroom Network!

Why is this so big. Pokerroom already had skins to get rakeback on, and I dont think it will make the game selection any better.

Re: Eurobet to join Pokeroom Network!

so I am confused.. I got eurobet rakeback the day before the party split and never used it. Will I still be able to get rakeback on the new pokerroom network?

That would be bizarre. I get my rakeback paid directly into my account by the skin I play on. It would be strange to deny Eurobet that option when other skins have it.

40% rakeback still means less rakeback than on my old 25% eurobet rakeback. You only get rakeback for pots you participated in, and then only rated by your contribution. (Unlike the party skins, on which you essentially 'steal' rakeback from LAGs.) And to add insult to injury the rake structure really penalizes the small stakes player.

Will player screen names be preserved from Eurobet?

I assume they will convert to Pokerroom's software.

I have the same name at pokerroom as I do at Eurobet, so this may be a problem.

As far as rakeback goes, my affiliate posted the following message on his site today, which leads me to believe that affiliates percentages aren't changing (or at least going down) from the move:

Below is the e-mail I received from Eurobet this morning. It looks like they will become a skin of PokerRoom on 11/21. Therefore, you should be able to login to Eurobet in a couple weeks and play against those players at PokerRoom and other PokerRoom skins. PokerRoom usually has 15,000-20,000 players at peak hours and the site has alot of bad players. Dear Affiliate, We would like to inform you that EurobetPoker.com has decided to leave the PartyGaming skins network and will be joining the ONGAME Network Poker Platform - one of the TOP 3 poker networks worldwide. We are finalizing the move and will commence the migration within the next few weeks. We have designed an automated migration process so the move will cause you and your players minimal disruption and all account balances/funds will be available as soon as customers log on.

i think the best analogy for the answer to this is like the one used when asking about the prices of mansions or ferari's:

if you have to ask, you can't afford it.

Reread the original post. It says that scren names will be preserved unless your name is already take on Pokerroom.

This is almost certainly the case, especially because of the nots about having a "non-download" version available and so forth.

i think this is awesome. think about EVERY poker site being on the same network. obviously that isn't going to happen but there are like at least 10 sites all on this network so there will be alot of players.

does anyone have poker ace working on pokerroom? i'm not sure if it's possible or not. if it works i might start playing on eurobet again.

and i'm definetly glad i still have my 35% RB on betonbet

you don't leave the party world much, do you?

Over 10k players on pokerroom all the time. Pokertracker works. PokerAce works. It's not a tiny room.

Yes it works, but you can't see the hole cards for the showdown.

on a different note, I have found that the mid level limit tables have many idiots that don't know how to play well postflop. That is, tight preflop - idiot retardos postflop. very nice. i feel happy
