This was a $10+1 tourney with about 700ppl.
top 54 get payed and we are hand for hand on the bubble.
I am in the top 30% or so of the field chipwise.

This is an easy fold after the re-raise right?
Did I screw up by changing it up with the AK UTG limp?

Even on the bubble for a MTT?

The bubble should rarely effect your play.

Yep.. i'm not goign to go weak-tight for like a $30 payout. you want chips to get to first.

Dont I want to get in the money before I start gunning for first? After all, I would still be above avg chip count even after the fold.
Also, there were a few small stacks that would bust in the next orbit or so unless multiple miracles happened.

Is it worth folding this for:
A: Making it in the money
B: Since I limped raiser was on a WIDE range of hands (a set, KJ, flush draw)
C: Even if I folded I was still in OK position, and if I called and lost I was out completely.

The bubble is chump change. The real money in a MTT is in the final table.

If you're beat here, that sucks.

I think you're passing up on a good amount of value folding here, way more than you'd gain by sneaking into the bubble.

Bubble pays what, $30? and first i'll guess is... 2000? maybe more?

Did you limp trying to limp reraise?

FWIW I never this down, especially after limping preflop. What would someone expect you to limp with that really likes this board (besides 55 and MAYBE kj)

Isn't this just the situation you were hoping for when you limped in? Call... Call...Call

I was actually hoping for some sort of raise or mini-raise in which i could re-raise or call depending on the size of the bet. This way I would have some sort of range to put the villian(s) on.

Re: AK UTG on bubble...

i dont understand? if making the money is so important to you why have you played your hand so oddly?
if you play the hand straightforwardly your decisions are easier. by limping AK ep you have caused your opponents to misread the strength of your hand and you have probably trapped some poor sod for all of his chips on the bubble.
out of interest, if someone had moved in on tou preflop, would you have called?

Re: AK UTG on bubble...

If you're afraid to go broke, you can't limp AK here. When the flop comes, go broke. Winning this pot probably puts you in the top 10 in chips for the tournament, and gives you a real shot at the final table.
