Its on the cover of the NY Daily News.

here is the link to the story.

The cover shot is pretty funny - its a picture of A-Rod and superimposed along the base of the paper is a bunch of the 11.5 crappy dice chips....

As long as Bud Selig is monitoring the situation, I feel much better about it.

Maybe now George S. will drop a few bucks here and there and get the damned things legalized. Tha' Donald won't much care for it but hell, this is BASEBALL we're talkin' about here. And that's the "other" National Pastime, ain't it?

I know Jeffage has played with ARod at Bellagio. 30-60 I think. Apparently Boras won't let ARod play higher, not b/c he can't afford it. 1000-2000 won't hurt him, although he's no Andy Beal. But, it's the general appearance of playing very high that Boras wanted him to avoid. Maybe Jeffage will comment.

I believe he was at the Bellagio this past weekend. I was playing Friday night and a guy at my table said A-Rod was playing with Chan Thursday night. Also later on someone said "there's A-Rod again". I didn't look to confirm.

Geeze, I wonder if all the publicity from that little event had anything to do with the major police crackdown on the poker rooms?

Are there any decendants of those indians who sold Manhattan to the Dutch still around? I'd like to find one or two, get a piece of land in Manhattan, delare it a reservation, and build a big-a$$ casino.

"yanks tell arod to avoid illegal clubs"

later in the article: "playing at such clubs is not illegal"

No place left to play anyway

this is pretty silly since there is no place left right now to play...

yes, and posts to a good thread are not necessarily good, either

sorry, that was churlish. I hope you see what I mean, though

But sources said Selig is "very unhappy," in part because of the message the poker playing sends to young fans.

"Kids look up to [Rodriguez]," a source said. "It isn't good for anybody."

LOL.

Not like there's any other crimes to pursue in New York. Bd will jump on this as quick as he did on the milk commercials.
