\"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/1) (300/500 NL, again)
Tonight's game is yet another 300/500 NL game. Last night's 300/500 NL game was rather meh, nothing really special except for Bart striking out yet again with the ladies, Tuchman's "costume", and various talk in the thread begging to see a limit game. As usual, play will start on the site shortly after 6pm PT, although many will probably be concentrating on the WSOP the first hour.

Dave sometimes plays a little unconventionally. He is really good at reading people and putting them on hands. He's done well in a couple of tourneys and does well in our home games. Good luck Dave, Gus and Martin!

In some cases if you started the feed before it came on, it does not change over to the live feed, you have to close your viewer and start it again and it starts the new live feed.

teaming strategy question
in a 15-30 limit game last night. for the hour before the following hand 2 guys at different ends of the table were in pretty much every pot together and raising each other constantly and taking smoke breaks together etc... they were talking about when they wanted to leave together and were obviously friends.
i have A5h in the BB unraised pot with just me and the 2 teamers. flop is AQ7 with 2 hearts. i bet, first dude raises, next dude re-raises, i re-raise and both just call. turn is a 7 and based on what i've see from these guys, they could both make the preflop action with no cards. i bet out and they both just call. river J, no heart. i'm pretty sure my hand is best but i can't justify betting here and calling a raise so i check like a little girl. as a good team should, first guy raises, next guy re-raises and i'm forced to fold. they turn up Q2 and J2 and the pair of queens takes it down. the fact that the guy called on the river with J2 and they both showed their cards made little sense to me if they really were teaming. now, later on in the night i took a $500 pot down when i check raised or check 3-bet on every street with the nuts against them, so obviously i made more money exploiting their teaming than lost to it... but could i really have got off the first hand? have you guys seen any odd play on the webcast of guys seemingly teaming like this? |

I doubt Jesus/Ed like to play the 300/500 game all that much when there's 10/20 and up NL to play (Mexican Poker also for Jesus).

Ed really feels more comfortable at the 1K table. He felt "uneasy" at the whale game last week. Took his booty of 9K and boogied to the 1K table. Possibly bad etiqueete, but the players bitched about him (especially Bruce Parker), but I really don't think he was planing on playing that game. Jesus plays a lot of different games, as long as there is action, no matter what the stakes. he wants to have action and fun...otherwise why play??
It sucked that several players reemed Yosh on that. Bad play on the players part!! |

Mike Hargrove. Hargrove bears a great nickname—“The Human Rain Delay.” The name stems from the fact that, as a player, Hargrove would take about 15 minutes for every plate appearance. He would step out of the batter’s box, fidget with his gloves, his helmet, his pants… He drove the pitcher nuts, but that was his plan.
