Neteller Qs

This stuff may have been covered here already, so I apologize if it's old news.

1. Will Neteller ever share your info (name, address, info etc) with party or your main bank account? Will party ever say, "here is a cashout coming from john doe, birthday 2/3/1963, living at 123 elm etc" and check that with your neteller info? When you cash out from neteller to a main bank account will they share this info to check it then?

2. What's the best way of closing my current neteller? I've heard they are cool with this but any specific wording for me? Is it a one time deal?

thanks

Re: Neteller Qs

Call up Neteller, close your old, request new account. They have been cool with it, as they want you to keep using them. They will even transfer your money over to the new account. No need to play around with Neteller, they dont care and will give you a new account.

Re: Neteller Qs

cool, if i have x dollars in my current account, will they automatically switch it over to the new one i create? ive heard they can, this would help, but its not a deal breaker.

does anyone know how much of your info neteller gives out to party/bank account? im just curious, is there a problem withdrawing to a bank account where your address/etc is different than what your neteller info is?

Re: Neteller Qs

I just posted a similair question. I have the same concern about question 1 but haven't found any posts in the archives that answer that question.

I would think that you wouldn't want to close an account w/ neteller that you used on party and then use the same method w/ the same name.

When i called neteller they told me i couldn't create a second account and close the first. I think i'm in the minority though.

I wonder if they look at account balance or anything. I doubt it, but you would think they would be more likely to help someone out who keeps 10K+ in Neteller at most times.

Re: Neteller Qs

Voltron,

Last week I opened a new checking account and I wanted to link NETeller to that account instead of my old one. I just went ahead and signed up for a new account (using a different email address but all the same info otherwise). Almost immediately my old account was frozen and I was told to call security. After verifying who I was, I explained that I had just opened a new checking and wanted a NETeller to go with that. They were completely understanding, closed my old account, transferred all of that money into the new account, and even asked me if I wanted to switch the email address back to the one I had used with my old account.

Hope that helps.

Re: Neteller Qs

I haven't switched back to party yet (have the account just haven't funded it yet). Think it'll work if I just say I think my info has been compromised and that I want a new account??

Heard one guy transferred to euro, closed the neteller account then opened a new one and transferred the money back.

I'm just assuming they won't let me just close and open a new one, seems like it works for some and doesn't for others.

Re: Neteller Qs

This is directly from Neteller. I emailed them and asked if they would share my info:

NETELLER does not share any of your account information with your merchant website. The only information they are given is the information that you provide them yourself. When you are transferring funds to or from a merchant website, you may need to enter your full name, NETELLER Account and Secure ID numbers, and your email address. These are required in order to ensure that funds are transferred to and from the correct NETELLER account

Re: Neteller Qs

Has anyone had any problems with other sites that you use the same Neteller account on? If I want a new Neteller account for Party purposes, will it screw up my next deposit/withdrawl with Crypto sites or some casinos?

If I have outstanding balances in some Crypto sites (that I'm keeping in there because they're in GBP and I want to avoid currency conversion killing me), should I withdraw them first? IIRC, you can't reenter your Neteller account number when you withdraw from Cryptos (not sure about depositing). Also, I have money in some sportsbooks: Pinnacle, BetGameDay (VIP), Canbet, LVSB (Hollywood). Will I have any problems if I try to withdraw to a different Neteller account? Probably, I would think...

My current Neteller account is in CDN funds I asked them if they could switch it to US and they said no, just open a new account and contact us, we'll switch all your money and neteller points to the new account.

I tried to close mine and they wouldn't let me. What reason did you give for wanting to close your account?

i didnt really give one. what i did do was start a new account (same exact info, different email address, but all correct stuff). 10 minutes later neteller catches on and locks the old one, i call up, say "oh i thought i had closed it, my bad, what can we do to remedy this? i would like the old one closed for good, i understand the need for only one account, so i will just use the new one i just started". they even transferred my old balance to the new one, so that shows something about their attitude towards it.

can someone please tell me what is the advantage of using neteller, I always use my credit card and It sounds much easier, plus theres no fees to pay!

Re: Neteller Qs

Some major credit cards are beginning to decline transactions with online gaming websites. Neteller is mainly used as a way to transfer funds quite quickly from one poker room to another without always having to charge your credit card.

I went through this last night and thought it might be helpful to share my experience. I took the same angle as RunDownHouse and they seemed like they were going to merge everything for me. 10 minutes later I get a call and they said there was no way they could transfer the money from my old account to my new account. I took it to the supervisor level and he was steadfast about it - he said new controls in their system would not allow moving the money from the old account to the new account.

After some back and forth, I asked him if I could pull the money out of my old account, close it, and then call back and have my new one activated. He was fine with that.

I moved the balance to Stars, called back and they closed the old Neteller and activated the new one in 10 minute call. I was also allowed to use my old email address.

So, it looks like this works more easily if you don't have any balance sitting in your old Neteller.

if you should ever not want the IRS having access to your poker winnings information

some people, a 'friend' of mine even, have it setup so that neteller transactions-if they ever occur-are always debits from their accounts, never deposits. You can then even write off that money if you are creative.

Getting it out can be done to a foreign bank if you are VERY creative, or in cash with the neteller debit card

Ship it

Re: Neteller Qs

That will work until the IRS determines you are being "creative". The you will have to prove the "truth" of your claims. The IRS doesn't have to prove it, you do. Tax court rules are not the same as criminal court rules. Beware.

Could this be used to get myself another account at party through a different affiliate (and I'd also get to clear wowreal again)? or is this asking for trouble?

ATM cashouts using your Neteller Debit card are made via a US bank if you are a US citizen. If (more likely when) the IRS decides to supoena that bank's records and they discover X thousands of dollars have been distributed to, say, John Doe of 123 Main St, Anytown USA, you can be certain that John's tax records will be pulled to see if he claimed any of this income.

I had problems in that Stars wouldn't let me setup a new neteller account with them until 15 business days after my last neteller transaction with my old account. Anyone else get this?

My neteller is under my Dad's name, and I was unable to use neteller to cashout from Ultimate Bet because the names did not match.
Only site that gave me [censored] though.
