JJ Party 3/6 This feels a little non-saucy
Party 3/6. 6 max table that's 5 handed.
I raise J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG. The CO 3-bets, he's not very good, too lose post flop, too aggro with bad holdings, but hasn't been 3-betting preflop much. The BB calls two cold(ish). He's horrible, bad/aggro postflop and shows down any pair. I cap (!?) they both call. Flop T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] BB checks, I bet, CO raises, BB calls, I 3-bet, everybody calls. Turn is the 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB checks, I bet, CO calls, BB check raises, I call, CO folds. River is the J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] BB bets, I call. |

Looks super standard to me. PF cap is a must. Which part do you question?
|
Re: JJ Party 3/6 This feels a little non-saucy
Preflop the cap is standard for me, I mostly just threw the !? in there to say "I think people might question this, if you do, feel free to say so".
I want to raise the river, because the BB is pretty horrible. He could be holding a lot of hands that I beat. |
Re: JJ Party 3/6 This feels a little non-saucy
Is the BB raising two pair on the turn? A jack? A straight? I like your play the whole way through and think you just call the river bet.
|
Re: JJ Party 3/6 This feels a little non-saucy
The BB would c/r two pair/a set/a straight and potentially worse. A straight is probably the most likely, but not by a large margin.

Re: JJ Party 3/6 This feels a little non-saucy
Like what type of hands. Would many of them call a raise? It seems like if he had a made hand on the turn other than a straight he would have given more flop action.
Also there are many more combinations of lone 7's than 2 pair/set type hands. |
Re: JJ Party 3/6 This feels a little non-saucy
Well then I dont think there is any value in raising the river. I think anything less than a straight may fold here(this really depends on the villain), and you will get 3 bet a lot.

I'd fold the river UI. Discuss

You mean unimproved in comparison to the board texture?

I'd fold the river UI. Discuss [/ QUOTE ] Against this guy? Maybe if the pot has halved. |

But if he was normal, I think I would. [/ QUOTE ] Id be pretty damn tempted but Id want more than a handfull of hands on him. Given that he coldcalled on the flop and c/r two players on the turn it doesnt look good at all. I certainly woudlnt raise the set here even with the description offered. BTW I dig the avatar dids |
Re: JJ Party 3/6 This feels a little non-saucy
Folding the river vs. this guy would be v. bad.
Since I think the tone of my posts give it away a little, MHWG. He had Ad6d for a flush draw that picked up a pair on the turn. I can't decide if his play is foaming at the mouth stupid, or pure genius. |

[/ QUOTE ] It doesn't look that bad - a good semibluff on a relatively low board vs. a couple of aggressive players. That said, as far as your play goes, is this one of those situations where there's no way we can fold to a 3-bet, so a call is better? |

He's cr-ing 2 players on a disgusting coordinated board. Even if he knows BDids has a fold in him on the river (and he doesn't know) he has no idea what the CO is doing. All this is assuming that the BB has any earthly idea what's going on. I don't think he does. I think it was more, "ooo pair! nut draw! rawraise!" I vote foaming at the mouth stupid. |
