Decided to play tonight. Table 162. Some guy paid off my AQ on an Axx flop with A3. At 3025.

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

yea, it was me. I had a decent stack. Then my school had a fire alarm. That sent me on tilt, since i folded KK, AA and AK, so i donked off my stack. Were you at one of my tables?

- Update : QQ beats JJ on 8 high flop. 5570 now.

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

Yea I was NJKowboy22. My pocket kings went down to a big stack's pocket tens and I was out with 400 or so to go.

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

tough break. More action for me! My KQs in the BB loses to AJ on a flop of 2JK. He likes to river A's.

4675. ROLLERCOASTERS ARE FUN.

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

I'm in. Nothing much for the first 20 hands or so, then doubled up with JT vs T9 (!) with a JTxxx board (he called 2/3 pot on the turn and river after leading the flop.) A couple hands later I overlimp with 33 and Mr. T9s gets his chips in with AK on an A35 flop. Turn K, river A. Oops.

Back down to 1200 or so, table 39.

Board: 5s Ac 3d

T1200 on 121. Fairly uneventful so far.

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

Just had 66 vs Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] on a
Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] flop
A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] turn
J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] river

The pot's 180 on the flop (4 limpers + blinds), and somehow I manage to get out only losing 400 chips of my 1200 despite being OOP. (I lead the flop and turn, river checked through.) I think I can safely label that opponent passive.

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

Was shortstacked for the last half hour but hit two pair w/ KQ and check raised all-in and was called by K7. Hangin in there with 1615.

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

I HATE when my friends come in my room and tell me we're going out drinking. ALWAYS THE WORST TIMING. Already donked off 1k, guess the $10k isnt for me tonight. If i dont have a huge stack by 12:30, i'm just leaving.

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

Come to table 8 and dump your chips off to me

I'm up to 2800 after my A8 survived a battle of the blinds with a smaller stack who pushed w/ JTo.

Matador225 10-21-2005 11:46 PM

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

Up to 4200 after my aces held up against a flush draw.

ethan 10-21-2005 11:55 PM

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

Down to 800 shortly before break, now back up to 4300 (avg is 3500). Some decent cards for the early pots, then a coinflip for my stack with my 99 vs AQo.

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

Still in, though I've been card dead for the entire tournament. Sitting on 1600 as of now.

Matador225 10-22-2005 12:26 AM

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

5500 after the 2nd break. Who else is still in?

Mr_Oog 10-22-2005 12:27 AM

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

Lost a huge chunk w/ KK vs AA 3 hands before the break, but tripled up w/ QQ the next hand. Sitting at 2k right now.

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

Up and down second hour.

- JJ was no match for K9 (especially with how bad I played it)
- KK held up versus AJ to keep me alive and double me up
- Lost a chunk of change when my draw was priced in and didn't hit
- Won the blinds a few times to keep me alive

2540 on table 36.

ethan 10-22-2005 12:39 AM

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

I'm still in - not getting any cards, basically keeping pace with the avg stack at the moment.

My first table just broke, I miss my reads I'm now surrounded by medium-to-smallish stacks, instead of medium-to-biggish (my last table had three who were more than double average), so this could still work.

edit - 3 hands into my new table, I've doubled up. to just over 12K.

Matador225 10-22-2005 12:48 AM

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

I'm up to 11,000 after getting AA twice in 3 hands. The first time I doubled up through a donkish big stack who limped Q9 and called my push on the flop with top pair. The second hand I picked up a small pot.

Mr_Oog 10-22-2005 12:57 AM

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

I'm out. Couldn't build my tiny stack fast enough after the break.
GL all still in.

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

Was up to 15 K but this last hand knocked me down to 6600. Raise from MP from a stack of about 8 thousand. I call w/ AQs. Flop Qxx all clubs. He bets out the minimum I raise 3 X more. He calls. Turn is a blank, no club. I push. He calls for the remainder of his stack and shows AJo (Ace of clubs) and hits it on the river. I would have been close to chip lead.

I got some work to do to get my stack back up. I want a final table bad...

Yo, I'm still in it, although not paying much attention till I bust out of one I'm in on Stars.

I'm still in at whichever break this is. Table 9 if anyone cares.

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

I'm out. Horrendous run of cards since taking that bad beat and I was forced to call a push preflop with garbage. Very dissapointing. GL guys.

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

Out 60ish, I created the chip leader! Another guy and I joined forces (he took my chips). See my other post to find out how my second to last hand played out (I had 6 chips left after this hand).

Re: Anybody in the 40 K?

Went out 23rd... lost with AK. UTG min raises with 77, I push for about 70k chips, he calls, I lose. If I win that i'm in about 5th in chips with 23 left, oh well
