\"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (10/19) (25/50 NL)

Tonight's game is another edition of their "Whale Game", which should be 25/50 NL with a 5k max buyin. If most of the players from last week's game turn up it should be 3 hours of interesting poker. If the same players that were there two weeks ago for 50/100 NL, it'll suck mightily. Unfortunately, yesterday's 300/500 NL game was rather weak, with some donk by the name of Harry played the role of WPT/WSOP wannabe, taking his sweet time to make a decision and acting like a fool. Tune in tonight with Bart/Shirley from 6-9pm tonight at www.liveatthebike.com to follow the action.

Thanks, Kev. Looking forward to watching, though I'd rather be playing! Next week, game on!

Slightly off topic, but those who were hoping to see Bart make his WPT debut (as tableside announcer) on Ladies Night III will be disappointed, as they're running II for some reason.

What was his involvement with Ladies Night 3? Besides wanting to play in it.

Never mind - just saw the commenting part. Cool should be good to watch.

What is Dr BB doing at this level? Yikes! Wonder how he will do?

Where is Jonas!?!?!?!

No, I'm going to Vegas tomorrow, and Vail next Friday.

But I will play next Wednesday

Damn, with Ed there, maybe I'll head down!

Jonas has spent more time playing over at Commerce from what I've read. This lineup isn't looking too promising, although Dr. BB should be interesting stepping up a bit.

Back to an earlier post, Ladies Night III makes its debut at 8pm this Saturday night.

Why in the world would Joe show Ed that hand when he bet 200 on the river? Wouldnt it be better to keep Ed guessing. I mean especially if Joe is known as a usually action player. Seesh.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (10/19) (25/50 NL)

He's too tight to lose too much. He will either use that image to bluff a couple of pots, or slow play a monster and collect. Probably both

They do a collection pot every 30 minutes at $15/player.

Ed owns or is one of the head guys at Turbo Flow. They build power plants, generating stations, etc. A lot of design/build stuff.

I've changed my mind about Jesus. I now think he is majority shareholder of Cemex. That's my latest theory.

I stand corrected. Go get em BB!

Jesus is one of 7 partners in a Costa Mesa Travel Company. They buy blocks of hotels, flights, etc., and sell them to travel agencies. Basically wholesale. Does not deal on the retail end.

Bart... watching poker with your hot date on Saturday night is definately a way to set yourself up for a "bad beat"... just a heads up! LOL! Shirely, punch him for me. (In the arm of course)

Though if Bart was really lucky, he met her in the casino and she's asian. So she would love to watch. Might want to play it safe andTivo it.

I like the Idea that Jesus was into human trafficking. Hey Barry, you'd think that if Dr. bb checks, you bet, he calls that he's holding at least top pair, eh?

I think Kevmath should add an explanation to the collection pot as a part of his Wednesday night intro, because it seems that we always get asked that question.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (10/19) (25/50 NL)

Have we confirmed she's Asian??
If so, Bart is my new hero. Ted Forrest moves to number 2.

10-19-2005 09:34 PM

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (10/19) (25/50 NL)

Instead of a rake per hand, each player pays $15 per half hour. The twist is that it is a collection pot instead of a time charge. The winner of the first pot over $500, pays the $15 per player plus the jackpot

10-19-2005 09:36 PM

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (10/19) (25/50 NL)

Probably. You would need to have a scary board, pretty coordinated, and a large, large bet on the end to get him off it. He'll never raise, but he will call it down, like Ed

Have we confirmed it's a woman????

cwsiggy 10-19-2005 09:38 PM

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (10/19) (25/50 NL)

So if I'm understanding this collection pot thing, is it possible to go a whole evening and not pay the $15. What happens if you win say 2k, then another guy wins 3k on the next hand, do they just keep track of who's turn it is to pay the collection from the over $500 pot winners which is alomst every other hand anyway. confused.

Oh I think I get it. It's the first person to win $500 per down eh???

Maybe i mis heard you.
I happen to think its a good play.
Against the right player you get more action on flop, and then on the turn.

please explain.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (10/19) (25/50 NL)

See, Dr. BB bet again with nothing. I haven't seen him change his pattern. Calls with hands and bets draws or bluffs.
