Your most hated flop?

I hate Q32 rainbow. Shudder everytime it comes out. Bad memories off this one. Whats yours?

It's pretty beautiful if you're holding QQ. Not so much if it's AKs.

I personally hate trips of any kind that don't give me quads.

AKQ.

that or any monotone flop. a monotone flop means either i flopped a flush and everyone folds, i flopped a flush and someone draws to a bigger flush or i flopped a set and the board never pairs

I hate the AKQ flop when your holding Ax out of position. You bet out, and it gets raised.

QJT is a nightmare for a flopstealer such as myself. I press fold and click no when I am asked if I want to check.

Kind of a funny story. Playing 80/160 at the Bay I took a prop bet with this guy sitting next to me that the flop would not come all paint. If it did, I paid him $2k. If it didn't, he paid me $20. This went on for a few hours and he ended up dropping maybe ~$1400 to me before finally crying uncle. Two flops later: KKJ. The flop after that: KQJ. The table went nuts.

why would you make a prop bet in which you have virtually no edge? (.10 a bet i figure???)

increase the amount of gamble in the game?

anyways i guess it doesnt really matter, cool story.

He has no edge at all. With p = (12 choose 3) / (52 choose 3) we have

EV = -2000 * p + 20 * (1 - p) = -.1086

But those kind of flops are really profitable....

For some reason I keep seeing the flop "666", I think Party is trying to give me subliminal messages about the evils of gambling

Axx in a no limit game, when I have AK in position against a solid player who puts in a big raise on the turn.

I hate when you bet your big pocket pair and all the same suit comes out on the flop. Example a of clubs and a of hearts in your hand and the flop comes 3 diamonds.

KQT with two suited cards when i have AA

You don't...unless he pays you the $20 for EVERY flop (including the ones where you pay him $2000) -- then you'd have a 9 cent/flop edge.

Otherwise, as proven above, your edge is 19 cent/flop lower than that.

Frame the prop bet instead as paying preflop for every chance to hit $2K.

HOWEVER, I bet that even that prop bet is -EV because shuffling is not 100% random -- cards that were together are at least a little more likely to stay close together & the players throughout each hand are more likely to muck similar cards at similar times than totally different cards at different times.
