I'm assuming you had a better K or QQ on the KKQ flop where he ended up hitting what I assume to be a 3 or 4 outer with the 2 to fill up on the river?

playing with better players really improves your game, and makes you think about your play more intensively. i feel that my game has improved so much in just this last week or two.

ill see the way someone plays a hand, and a frigging light goes off in my head. you learn alot from other players at the table, and its a whole lot of fun.

I wish I had the bankroll to play against this guy..he doesn't seem to know how to fold, nor afraid(or consider) to put in a lot of money on a very, very marginal hand(although its heads up..I'd still have trouble 3(4?)-betting all in on the turn with just 6's here...)

One thing to consider: Unless I've lost it Arbitrary=Prahlad Friedman. PF has a long history of busting people that continue to play him heads up.

If you are dead set on playing him, I would be ready to quit if he gets me off my game and/or starts playing well. There is no doubt it's an excellent learning situation, but notice none of the people who might be legitimate favorites against PF heads up continue to play him. It's probably not worth the opportunity cost.

Yeah, amazing poker. You guys play so fast, and its damn near impossible to put anyone on a hand becuase they so rarely get shown down. From what I saw KKF ended with like 43k after cleaning out the count with trip jacks. KKF-what's your total bankroll? Watching high stakes poker at it's finest is greatly intriguing.

Re: Go Kane!

I haven't seen you play that much, but it seems that you're good at quitting while you're ahead. One of my biggest leaks is that I stay at a table for too long when I build up a stack, and normally stop playing my "A game." I actually generally can't get myself to quit unless I have something to do, or if I lose a few pots in a row, I finally get myself to stop playing.

outdrwn 10-18-2005 02:11 AM

Re: Go Kane!

take your own advice bro, and play your A game with the big stack. Stop making loose calls, but make aggressive moves. Quit while your at the top, I ((from this moment on)) will take my own advice, too, as I was sitting with 4X buyin earlier today, and lost one is that considered a loss?(a 2 buy-in win?

looks like he thought he had kkf beat and wanted him to bet for a c/r on the flop. On the turn he was tired of waiting and then didn't give kkf credit for having AJ or AK or his real JJ since he didn't bet the flop like he thought KKF would. Is that right?
