AKo UI

Canterbury 30/60 9 handed
UTG here is a fishy. I have seen him call with all kinds of garbage, and can get frisky and weird.
UTG raises, I 3-bet with A K
folds to BB who calls, UTG calls.

Flop 3 ways: 9 4 2
BB checks, UTG bets, I call, BB calls.

Turn: 7
BB checks, UTG bets, I raise, BB folds, UTG calls.

River: Q
UTG bets, I...........

I would think a river donk bet on this board means: "I can beat A-high". I fold here.

Killed by the donkey. I actually think you were killed by the turn call and river UI. Nice Semi-bluff though.

Given read on villain and the uncoordinated nature of the board and river donk I think my curiosity would get the better of me, but I dont think you can win. It might be worth a call just to get a solid read on villain's play.

This is an unusual line and the infoEV makes up for the worst of it you're taking on river pot odds.

That's the worst card for you, but not really a scare card that he would try to bluff. Turbomuck.

Re: AKo UI

There are players in this game who play ok but mainly leak in ALWAYS bringing their UI high cards to showdown (AK, AQ). Don't be one of those guys.

live play, this means fold.

Re: AKo UI

I'm very anti-turn raise here against all but a few specific types of opponents, and even then only when I have a decent amount of history with them and plan on playing in the same game decently often. I think you're burning there.

Re: AKo UI

I think you should raise the flop to shut out the other player. Bet the turn hoping to show down for free, but fold to a check raise on the turn.

agree.

against fish, i like to cr the flop instead of waiting for the turn with A high, as I give him two chances to fold before the river.
