It may take forever to clear PLAYOCT at Empire

And be boring besides. I can't find a .50/1.00 game that isn't as tight as a tick and agressive besides.

I normally clear bonuses at that level and need to play a little less than double the raked hands required to clear. Now it looks like I'm going to need nearly 3 times requirement as many hands are being folded to a raise before the flop resulting in no rake.

I may just abandon the effort. I must swim where there is liquid...

The bonus hasn't even started yet. Wait til the bonhoes get there tomorrow. We all know the .50/1 bonhoes are the worse players anywhere.

I just tried to sign up for a .50/1 omaha hi/lo game, and there weren't any. I agree, this is gonna suck clearing this bonus. I usually 4 table the .50/1 omaha games...that is going to be tough now.

Cmon man, you can just play your 10 accounts agains eachother and get your deposit bonus+RB for all 10 accounts. Good luck.

BTW, shouldnt they rename the "other skins" now the "2+2 skins"? just a thought.

I deposited at 12:10 and went straight to 4 tabling .50/1 6-max. I had no trouble finding tables with one open seat. Of course, there wasn't a great deal of choice, but at .50/1 it doesn't matter that much. I hit a couple of loose tables and a couple slightly loose tables - nothing unusual at all. Got in 353 hands in one hour. 132 were raked. This bonus should clear quickly and easily.

this seems weird - just over 1/3 of the hands are raked and you're happy?

That's around 33% raked hands...even for a 6 max table, hardly anything to get excited about. Say you stay at that pace, you're looking at ~2100-2200 hands to make the 700 raked...

I was just over at Empire looking around...would do much better playing at least $1/2 full or 6-max to get this bonus.

Also gotta say that at this moment, the Empire tables at .50/$1 look eerily similar to the weak-tight Cryptos...

Start clearing tonight for the 100% on $100 bonus for Empire.

I cleared 184 raked hands while playing 373 hands. A little slower than before, but not too bad considering tighter play on Empire. Also, according to raketracker.com they are in the works adding rakeback to the party skin. Not all hope is lost guys and gals.

Seemed like i was clearing mine a hell of a lot slower...900 hands, 474 raked. maybe its just me

The percentage of raked hands is slightly lower than usual. I'm not happy about that. I'm happy that I'm still finding plenty of soft tables at my desired limit and style (.50/1 6-max). I wasn't sure if that would be the case.

Why not play the NL25, a $1 pot that sees the flop counts.

50NL clears it uber fast. As long as it goes to flop you're good for a raked hand. 25NL has been extremely tight and you're lucky to get 1/4 hands raked.

Not meaning to be argumenative, but I have NOT found this to be the case. Prior to the "split" the percentage raked was averaging about 72% (50,000 hands from 9/1 to 10/7). Since the "split" the percentage has dropped to about 65% (at least from what I have experienced in about 5000 hands). There does seem to be waves where several hands in a row will not rake, but this is usually followed by several raked hands back-to-back.

It appears that when a "hyper aggressive" insists on betting pot or more preflop constantly, the table folds more often resulting in a non-raked series. There aren't as many "you can't raise me out" players as there used to be, so modest preflop raises seem to be more effective in getting money in the pot and getting a raked hand. Once the hand will rake, it is a different story.

I was trying to clear my TIFFANY bonus on EB last night and it was tight, I'm hoping that this Empire bonus might loosen things up a bit.
The full tables at 2-4 & 3-6 are still looser than Crypto.

After seeing how tight the tables have been, I think I'll throw in the minimum $50 deposit instead of the full amount. Less painful!

Re: It may take forever to clear PLAYOCT at Empire

While the average pot size is certainly smaller than it was before this past weekend; the bonus-clearing situation is not bad at all.

This morning, playing 4 Empire tables of NL/PL25 for 4 hours, I cleared 474 raked hands. My average for 4 hours before last weekend was about 500 raked hands. So, assuming it takes about 8.5 hours total, that comes to $11.76/hr in addition to winnings.

On the subject of winnings, yesterday morning I spent my 4 hours clearing the Party bonus (10-tabling)--made about $100 in winnings (in addition to the bonus). During my 4 hours this morning I 12-tabled skins for 4 hours to make $38 profit (in addition to bonuses). This isn't much of a sample, but it seems about right since the average pot on Party is about 2x-3x the average pot on skins.

My point--it's certainly worthwhile for a small-timer like me to clear the Empire, Euro, and Multi bonuses while I'm waiting for the dust to settle at Party.

The bonus would probably clear faster at 1/2. Even at toe IGM skins, a reasonable player should be +EV there, especially at .5/1 and 1/2. It will be a rock garden, but rocks can be beaten.

The games might not be super soft anymore, but come on! Don't be a wuss. I mean it's bonus clearing for crying out loud.

I'd say do a search, but instead, just click on any post with the phrase "party poker" in it, in either the internet, internet bonus, rakeback, or general forums, and you will have your answer.

The Skins are actually easier to win pots on then Party. However, the pot size is a lot smaller then Party.

The Rocks are very easy to push off hands. Just gotta increase the bluffing. Which use to be noneexistant w/Party.

Re: It may take forever to clear PLAYOCT at Empire

i cleared the PS bonus, and am halfway through clearing empires. but the hourly rate there has dropped trememdously. Empire is tight, but it is much easier to put people on hands now. So I'm much more comfortable folding hands like QQ when I need to, or raising 6 3 off, when I think it will win me a pot. Something you couldn't do when there were so many fish playing anything. But as soon as I'm done with this, I'm heading to PP. even with all the bonus whoring I could be doing right now, PP is still gonna get me a better hourly rate.

that should be a blast.

Re: It may take forever to clear PLAYOCT at Empire

I cleared it in just over 2500 hands at .50/1 6-max. I didn't have any trouble finding tables at any time. My winrate was significantly lower than usual at that level, but the 4 BB/100 overlay from the bonus made it clearly better than playing those hands at Party.

Of course, without a bonus to play for I wouldn't go near the place. At the level I play, RB alone can't even come close to making up for the drop in game quality compared to Party.
