Whats your biggest comeback in a MTT?

Last week it was down to 60 poeple in Stars $10+1 and i was down to 800 chips (about 1 BB) and after a lucky river, and a few pocket rockets I was over 100k Chips about 30 mins later. Unfortunatly i went out in 11th.

Re: Whats your biggest comeback in a MTT?

A couple of years ago, I had 49o in the BB all-in (before I had any true sense of position, M, FE....) with about 150 left, trying to squeak into the money of a $5 on Pacific...

Well, there were about five limpers before the SB pushed and made them all fold, QQ v. 49, flop 99X, turn 4, I go from t380 to about t2500, and end up finishing second for a couple of hundred bucks.

I don't know if a 30 person tourney counts, but I got down to 15 chips in the first level and somehow battled back to take the lead and finish 3rd.

Party Super Monday i was down to less than 2 bb's very deep ITM (4 tables or so left) and folded to SB who min raised me and i called for like 1/2 a big blind behind with my AA (thank you darse!!!!!) and beat his 42s and then proceeded to double up like a zillion times before taking chip lead at the final table and eventually coming in 2nd for (by far) my biggest MTT payday (15.8k)

I remember a tournament I played at the Orleans in Vegas where I had 200 with two tables. I tripled up with AK, then went on a remarkable rush and ended up winning the entire tournament.

Last week I was down to T287 when the blinds were T150/300 in a Party $30 (about 500 players left).
I pushed 83 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG+1, and wound up coming 6th in the tournament.

Ive recovered into near chip lead from both 45 and 85 chips. I think each time my card would slide off on the river in slow motion~

Re: Whats your biggest comeback in a MTT?

#1 - With the last $5 (only played 3 months then) left in my bankroll I entered a MTT on Pacific. Down to 1.5bb, end up all in with 92o against late position raiser who flips over queens. Flop xx2, turn 9, and so it began. Ended up finishing in 2nd place restoring my bankroll to the original $500. Also began my MTT obsession.

#2 - Pokerroom.com long kiss goodnight down to 400 chips in round 1 after bluffing off 1100 like a donk. Resolved to play like a human. Ended up taking second.

Re: Whats your biggest comeback in a MTT?

Down to T185 in a UB $10+$1 with blinds at T100/200 and entered the FT 3rd in chips. Finished 8th though. That was a long time ago before I knew that making the FT was just the beginning of the tournament, not the end.

The best comeback I've ever had was having T4 at a Omaha/8 SnG at Stars when there were seven players left and finishing 3rd. I went all in about 10 of the following 12 hands. Pure luck!

About a year ago I was down to 175 chips in the empire 5k guaranteed. I came back to win the tournament.

PokerStars $33R WSOP sattelite, about 350 people to start, down to about 40, I was near the bottom. Had to go all-in with J9, ended up making a fullhouse. And then was dealt AA back-to-back and doubled up twice. That propelled me in chips and I ended getting 4th and winning $650.

I came back from 135 chips (1000 starting chips) to come in 11th in a 2200 person tournament.

Re: Whats your biggest comeback in a MTT?

A few months back I had just gotten slammed down to T45 in a Party speed tourny after I pushed w/JJ and lost. The VERY next hand I was in the SB and the blinds were 15/30. 700 players left. I got Jc9c. 5 limpers to me and I push, everyone calls. EVERYONE checks it all the way around the whole way. I hit 2nd pair (jacks) and win. 3 hands later, AJ push and win. 3 hours later I finish 5th for $1500.

Re: Whats your biggest comeback in a MTT?

I was crippled after an all-in against a similar stack in a small S&G (27 people).. I had like 165 dollars left with 5 people left and won like 5 times in a row to get back.. ended up 2nd.

In big tournament play, recently was down to about 5x the pot.. doubled through when my AJ beat out AK on the river, then doubled again with AK vs. 44 (hit ace on river).. and was up to 10th with about 80 left.. then proceeded to blow it and get overly aggressive with big stack

I was down to FOUR lonely chips in the middle stages of a MTT qualifier last week and got back to about 7000 in chips. Didn't amount to a seat, but was still pretty crazy.

some empire tournament with about 250 people, i lost set over set in the first orbit and was put all in by the 10/15 BB a couple hands later. I ended up going out early at the final table..

Not a multitable but still a great come back. When poker room only had limit sit and goes. I lost almost all of my chips in the BB with blinds of 50/100 I short posted my last 40 in the small binds and when on to win the tournament.

Re: Whats your biggest comeback in a MTT?

Party Friday Special 200 + 15
Had a fairly healthy stack before the money (100 paid) when I got disconnected. finally got back on to find myself with only 800 chips with the big blind coming up (which I couldn't match). Played with reckless abandon to get back up to 12000 chips in 15 minutes (luck out with Q 8 to start, then races won with 4's, A Q, double up with aces), only to lose it a little while later to a big stack who had stole my blind at every chance. A J ran into his queens.
It was a disappointing end to a promising comeback....oh well

Once was down to 200 chips (2 big blinds) in UB $30+3 tourney mid-way. Worked my way back with some good cards & luck to finish 15th.

Happy to see everyone liked this post. I was just on the other side of one. $105 SNG. Heads up . I have 12100 chips and the other guy had about 400 or so. He literally kept going all in and catching. I got 2nd. $200 difference.

Not a big tournament, but a $1 Stud on Stars (I'm a lowroller )

I was last in chips with 36 players left and going into the final table and somehow through incredible luck I won, I really had no idea what I was doing. The only stud action that I had seen at the time were highlights from the 2004 WSOP Stud events lol.

Big payday for me though $140

Not mine, but it's gotta be ActionJeff coming back from having t800 facing the BB the next hand and blinds 600/1200 with about 250 people left in the 530 Limit WCOOP Event. Of course he goes on to win it.

Re: Whats your biggest comeback in a MTT?

This was more than 2 years ago. B&M $50 limit tourney at the Trop with about 120 players. I was down to a $100 chip in the BB with 94o. 5 limpers. I put on my jacket and about to leave. Flop was 9 4 4. I picked up the cards high up to show the sweaters behind me. I was so excited I threw the the cards sohard on showdown that one almost bounced off the table. Won the $650 pot, never looked back and won the whole thing.

Yes! I am a firm believer in chip-and-a-chair. I still cherish this as my best tourney win ever.
