private begginner\'s forum table at party or stars... anyone intrested?
 

If i were to create a private limit or NL table at party or stars, probably very low stakes (.50/1 or $25 NL or lower) would the posters from this forum be intrested? the focus would be on improving beginner's play, and we could actually have some strategy talk at the table. i think it'd help my game a bit.

if there 's enough intrest, I'm thinking tommorow (thursday, the 15th) at 7PM pacific (10 eastern) would be a good time to play. i can comitt an hour or so.

This could be such a great idea. I rarely get the chance to actually talking about playing with other players. The people I play with rarely care enough to consider debating strategy. It would be a lot more helpful if I had a PC and could run PS or PP. Dang, it sounds like such a great idea. I'd definately want it as a mirco game because I think the point of playing would be more for education. Afterall, if I wanted to pound on clueless mirco players there are plenty of sites for that. This has me really excited. I wish I could play on Stars. Erggg.....I'm getting a a laptop. Great idea!

I think this is a great idear, if we keep the stakes low and truly share. Hell, if this is going to be "group study" the game may as well be played on the Stars .02/.04 tables.

It looks like people would like to play at pokerstars and at nano limits. I'll try to find a good time to set one up- what would posters like to see- i'm thinking sunday afternoon (3ish EST) would be good for me... does that work? I'll try to set it up at .05/.10 limit.

Well, UB or Party and I'd join (esp. if you make it PLO8 [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]), but can't do Stars...

I suppose I really have to get around to signing up at Stars some day soon.

That would be awsome! I think no limit or pot limit would be way better though. Im guessing thats what the majority of us want to learn,

Sounds like a great idea. Would be up for some small stakes NL at Party. In the UK so if you play in your afternoon I should be able to do it.

I appearently cannot create private tables at stars. if enough people are into doing a game on party, at $.50/1, i'll set that up.

Sounds like there's not too much interest in NL. If you find a few others who want to do that though PM me. Would be good to play and chat strategy / tactics at the same time.

Do we have the option of starting a single table tourney on any of the sites out there? That would be a great learning tool for me, were we to post the hand histories, uncover the hole cards, and work through the analysis

2+2 tables are frequent occurances, often on Thursday evenings for the limit crowd. Sometimes 2+2ers converge upon a normal table like vikings landing on the beach. Other times we create private tables & post the password, to make sure only 2+2ers are there. The private games can be among the hardest games you'll ever play online with a mix of crazy loose-aggressiveness and super tough tight-aggressive thinking opponents. One thing they all have in common, though. They all want to take all your money. When you get the opportunity to play at a private 2+2 table, you should if your bankroll will allow it. Unless you're already pretty good, you'll probably get destroyed. But it's good for you. It makes you a better player. The hand discussion is open and very high quality at these tables.

Check the micros (or any other) forum regularly to see when a table starts.
