Brown...

I'm doing some research on UPS. What I did know is that it was started in Seattle in the early 20th century. What I didn't know was that they wear brown because its the color of opium and they were started to deliver opium to the prostitutes of early Seattle.

Early Seattle was a dirty, shady place.

I have a hard time believing that is true. With as big of a company they are now, I would think if there was any truth to this that they would change things immediately in this PC world.

when you send in your resume be sure to include a letter explaining why they should consider changing their color to purple or something.

I don't think so. For one thing, in the 80s they wore grey. The vans around here were always brown, but not the uniforms.

In 1916, Charlie Soderstrom joined the company, bringing automobiles and expertise with him. He also brought the color brown.

I once had a travel writing paper about Starbucks and found out some really interesting info like how they had to change the logo a little cause it looked like the mermaid was just a woman spreading her legs. The back story to most big companies is kinda interesting.

Okay. Something like this would be all over the Internet. I did a quick Google search and found nothing. So I don't believe and now I think it's not true.
