A cool father-in-law

I just got back from a wedding where I was a groomsman for a longtime friend. His new father-in-law got him this:

Breitling Chrono Avenger

Very cool.

...and I missed my chance. Ex-gf who's making mid-6-figures at 25 (at Amazon) w/two sets of grandparents each worth mid-8 figures. And they like her. And they still like me, 4 years later. If I wanted a marriage it was most likely there.

I think I pwned myself.

Pawnbroker: In Philadelphia it's worth 50 bucks.

Ok, a simple question. That is a very nice watch. I am a big fan of fine engineering. The site says "instruments for professionals" does that mean it's for aviators like the site suggests? Or is it for businessmen? The 3K price tag suggests the later but I don't know that much about those watches. How much of that 3K is engineering and how much of it is paying for the name?

I'm curious too

By looking at their website it looks like they spend some of that 3k on advertising too

IIRC, cost of manufacturing in premium watches is generally in the 20 percent of retail range. Don't quote me on this though.
