Stars freeroll

I'm going to break my Internet poker cherry on Tuesday. Since I was planning on playing at Stars, and not depositing any money (since I'm poor, I don't want to get into a losing cycle and keep depositing, because I'm a cheap bastard, etc.), I was wondering about their freerolls.

Specifically, I was wondering...how many players typically show up? About how deep is it paid? About how much does first place get? I'm guessing a couple thousand, a few dozen, and a hundred bucks or so, am I at least in the right ballpark?

Thanks in advance.

totally useless. bet365 has one that you can actually win some cash in, as well as a good signup for a tiny BR player. also check out the sites and promos that give free money

Stars has such a big field with their freerolls - like 3000-4000 players if I remember right.

You should check out the freerolls that the newer poker sites are offering. Often, these will still pay out a few bucks, but you will have a entry field of only 1000.

Also, some of the new sites also will give you $10 free to try out the real money tables. If you get on a good little streak to start, it's possible to build it into a decent bankroll.

Re: Stars freeroll

Stars freerolls suck. The prize is a satellite to another tournament with about 1000 people in it and a $400 prize pool. Pathetic. I think Royal Vegas and Pokeround both have a deal to start you with $10. The catch is if you want to cash out your winnings, you have to deposit money and play 500 raked hands. Not a bad deal though, like dire said. Also, search for PSO's "instant bankroll." I'm not real sure how it works but it sounds pretty lucrative to a new player.

If you're serious about online poker, then take advantage of one of the "free bankroll" promotions that one of the above posters mentioned. Grind your bankroll up to a few hundred bucks, then hit bonuswhores.com (and the internet bonus forum here) and don't look back.

last i knew, there was the IB promo from pso and some affiliates may also have free empire money. in additional, royal vegas and pacific poker used to and probably still give 10$ free. i think crazy also gives 10 away.

$1,000 prize pool, not $400. And there no catch.

On Stars if you deposit and play 500 raked hands you will collect plenty of FPPs (Frequent PLayer Points) and can enter freerolls with much better prizes.

I finished 2nd out of 3778 people. The satellite that
I had to play in was a 7card studd tourney. I got right
at the money before busting out. Every other player at my table had qualified by playing stud tourneys. That was
my last Stars freeroll!

however, if you just deposit the minimum you can play in plenty of $1 to $3 buy-in's that are worthwhile.

getting a free $10-25 to start with on a different site is a good way to go too.

These guys are fishies...

You will probably want to try out different sites so here are the ones i think you should try.

Bet365 saturday freeroll 10K

All the PrimaPoker rooms have freerolls.

Bugsysclub.com Freerolls all the time! Some have no prize pool, but they have ones where you earn points. You can take those points and play ring games or sit and gos. Once you get 1000, you can cash it in for $10....Great site!

AbsolutePoker has like 2 freerolls every hour and a 5K freeroll on Mondays. The $50 freeroll has 2000 players and pays the final table. The 5K freeroll had 2000 players and they pay out 200 or 50 places i'm not sure. Make the money and get $25.

Noblepoker has freerolls.

TheBakery has freerolls

UltimateBet has freerolls. They have a points freeroll, a bonus dollars freeroll and a tournament entry chip freeroll. The first two formers suck. The last latter is a cool one. 2500 players, make the top latter 50 not that hard to do. play a few and you will do it. Come back to the weekly final, make the final table and get $109 tourney entry. The final has about.... i don't know.... i lot of players but less that 2500. Just try to do good and don't make the former end of the tourney.

ok this is [censored] boring... just remember that internet poker is rigged. Do not trust it. They let the new players and fish win so the site won't lose players. They deal out certain cards and keep the table balanced. ((former((People will say" Why would a site like PartyPoker need to do rig the cards to make more money???" because that is how the software was created. They weren't the biggest site when they first came out right??? It makes them a little more profit and they just kept it that way.))latter)) So they make you lose more and it becomes more of a grind if you want to win. Then it gets boring and you blow your money on tilt. And they will always make the all in fish double up and go on a rush in a heads up cash game.. thats how the software was wrote. And it's rigged in a bunch of other ways too.... There are also a lot of sites that have a transfer feature so you can beg for money. But of course do the instantbankroll.com thing. Party will let you win at first no matter how bad you are. Right when you get 125 raked hands, cash it out and go to the casino.

This is the latter end of my post... I really hope you mad rookies don't correct my spelling and punchyouation ((former(( I really forgot how to spell that, so i spelled it so obviously wrong to throw you guys off so you would think i really know how to spell it. but i know you will sit here and STUDY my post and all my previous posts and figure that out so i'll just tell you now and save a couple minutes of your wanna be pro, confidence building, 3-6 multi tabling time))latter)) because i said internet poker is rigged... I got some misspelled words and wrong punchyouation/ but i said former and latter and i used parethesis a few times so you wouldn't think i'm THAT stupid....... I got to go play me 50K sit and go...bye

Re: Stars freeroll

FullTilt has $40 freerolls at 10:30 am and pm pacific time. 1st place is $5, 2nd is $3, and 3rd-18th is $2.

900 max players, sign up begins an hour before hand, and usually fills up within a couple minutes.

Now, while I have you guys, can I ask you if cashouts from Bet365 are any trouble? I understand that cashing out from onloine casinos (as opposed to poker-only cardrooms) can be a major hassle.
