I see no need to wait any longer- I don't see any rule changes coming and we have the lines out there, so let's get ready to rumble!

$300 bet Bills $200 bet Pats u50 $100 bet Chiefs Rams- They're playing the 49ers! Bills- Texans on the road, Bills defense... Pats under- I didn't like the line on this game, even with the Pats at home, but I do like the under for the Pats at home, even with Randy to throw to, since Bill's had a number of weeks to plan for it. Chiefs- will the home power continue? Besides, any team smart enough to cut FredEx should be able to cover 3. |

The Ravens defense is good, but their offense is a big question mark, and Indy can cover 3 points on anybody but the Patriots. Chargers: I dont think last year was a fluke. LT and Brees are an efficient combination, and Parcells is relying on the old guard to rennovate the Cowboys. If that rennovation is successful it should take a few weeks to get on track. Bills: This is a case of a mediocre team visiting a good defense. Bengals: Lord help me, I think the Bengals are making the playoffs this year. They finished 8-8 the last two years with worse teams, and theyve improved. The Browns on the otherhand still stink. Looking to move up from my middle of the pack finish last year. TRWIII |

300 Bills u39 200 Lions o46 100 Redskins Vikes/Bucs - Bucs offense was pretty good at end of 04. I think their defense is slipping a bit. Vikes D is improved, but not tested. Bills/Texans - I love the Bill D and they are starting an erratic rookie QB. Nice number to play under. Lions/Pack - Two terrible defenses, one very good offense and one average defense. Number should be at least 48 or 49. Skins/Bears - Rookie Orton is starting on the road vs. a very good D. Should be a tough day for the Bears. |

$300 Colts $200 Packers $100 Eagles Rams -- if martz will stick with the running game, the passing game will easily produce like it's 1999. oh, and it's the 49ers... Colts -- lewis will get his yards, but peyton will find a way to get the ball to the endzone 3 times, and edgerin will add at least one on his own. dwight freeny should light up boller alllllll day. Packers -- they won't win a lot of games this year. but they'll win this one. the question is, will farve punish walker for holding out and in general being a dick? Eagles -- imo, my questionable pick. but i just can't imagine that the falcons will be able to stop all aspects of the eagles offense. if anyone can shut down vick, the eagles can. |

$300 Panthers $200 Texans $100 Pariots u50 Unsophisticated analysis follows. To be honest, only the first two jumped out at me as bets I might actually want to make. But I'll explain the other two anyway. Rams: I just think the 49ers are horrible, and the Rams aren't. 4.5 is a decent bit on the road, but I think the 49ers are gonna have huge trouble scoring. Panthers: The Panthers are better than the Saints, it's at home, and the Saints will be distracted by Katrina (as they should be). Texans: I just don't think the Bills are that good, and I think the Texans are better than others do. Patriots u50: 50 is a lot. I know it's the Raiders and all, but it's early in the season, and I'm hoping for a 28-21 game [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] I think people are overestimating Moss' impact on the total. |

The Lions-Packers game should be a shootout, with two good offenses versus two suspect defenses. I also like GB here (never underestimate the Brett Favre post-tragedy effect), just not as much as the others I listed. |
