henry rollins

I was a big rollins fan back in the day. really loved life time and end of silence and dug some of his books.

i don't think he's ever done anything I didn't like, from black flag, to his spoken word, to his stand up.

stand up? please tell me he doesn't do comedy. I mean some of his stories are funny, but jesus christ.

his live spoken word has become much more stand-up like lately. at least, last time i saw him, basically every story he told was supposed to be funny. most of them were.

LIAR used to make me laugh really hard but now that I have an eighteen year old daughter it just makes me think about the horrable things I'd do to any guy who pulled that on her.

well, henry rollins rereleased the monks 'black monk time' on his label infinite zero, so that right there makes him pretty coolish.

other than that he probably isn't very cool. although i'm sure i thought so when i was 10 and watched beavis and butthead.

Some of his music was decent, but his spoken word makes him come off like a self-important douche.

I think I am going to get a used copy of end of silence, turned on and lifetime. all those albums kicked ass. I remember not liking weight a whole lot.

does the newer stuff suck? I remember my favorite song off end of silence was "just like you". man I loved this stuff when I was 15, I wonder if it will sound stupid or awesome to me now.
