\"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (8/24)

Tonight's show is the return of the "high-roller" 400/800 limit game which looks like it'll be a weekly feature of the show. This week's show will have Yosh Nakano, Tim Phan, Jerry Buss, Gabe Kaplan and others. The press release from earlier today mentioned Tuan Le, Shawn Sheikhan, Frank Hong and a "mystery guest" to round out the lineup. For those that want to follow the action, you can go to the "new" website of www.liveatthebike.com or put http://216.53.204.10/bike/bike_300.asx into your Windows Media Player. Expected commentators tonight are that dynamic duo of Bart Hanson/David Tuchman, unless Shirley busts out of the Legends All Around Points tournament early.

This will be good. Looking forward to watching Mr. Kotter play some high limit.

I wonder if this will be one of those nights where we'll want to hear the table talk as much as possible.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (8/24)

I have to admit, Kotter was pretty good announcing the
HEADS UP tourney. And frankly, accept for some moments, I'm getting tired of watching Final Table six handed all-in fests.
Tactical poker is much more interesting.

How long has it been since Gabe has been "Mr. Kotter". I mean, a lot of people reading this weren't even born yet, were they? What years did he have his series on?

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (8/24)

I thought "hey I know how to google!"

Welcome back Kotter aired from 1975 to 1979.

75-79. I was barely born (78), but I did watch the show when it was rerun sometime in the early 90's I think. I would imagine at least 75% of the people on this board have never seen WBK.

That was a horrific sight to see, Tuch wearing a Bombshell Models tank top. I'm guessing he lost some sort of bet.

Yea! I like the limit games for a couple of reasons. One is that I play mostly limit. The other is that the commentators play limit for a living, although not at this level.

So who are the babes? Entourage? Where there's money there's babes.

I noticed the higher the limits, the more chance of seeing babes sweating the action.

Its working for me but the video is real choppy right now. They might be having bandwidth issues. And I think this might be one of those shows where 2+2 is not mentioned because of pokerblue. Or not.

Close and reopen the page or Media Player. You'll get the live feed.

Uh, guys. I know I'm like a broken record, but yous is way louder than the players. I would like to be able to hear what they say.

And will you please take off that highlight intro? So annoying plus it goes back to it every time I try to restart it.

Kev, I've done that. Twice. Still a no-go.

And now it won't even connect.

Funny, I never had these problems when LATB was low-tech.

They have been talking about changing their "best of" highlights soon. It shouldn't go back to the intro when the show is on, you should get the 7 second splash screen of L@TB then the live show.

These pokerblue hootchies are serving precisely zero purpose. At least they should be required to jump up and down whenever the guy they are sitting behind wins a hand.

Great, now I have audio, but no video. I don't know about you guys but I really doubt the long-term success of poker on the radio.
